Meet Ian Borbolla | Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Hi Ian, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit. As a kid, I started a lemonade stand. As a young adult, I started an event planning company. As an adult, I got started in the mortgage industry working in very independent roles. There were many other business ideas I had during my life that were never attempted either due to lack of complete knowledge or lack of resources. Then came the journey of becoming a successful CPA. I have been an accountant for over 10 years now and it has been an amazing journey so far. The opportunity to start a CPA firm came together after many years of gathering the resources and experience necessary to do this.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I founded Digital Tax Group, PLLC in 2021 and it is a certified public accounting practice that is utilizing technology to provide efficient, streamlined tax, accounting, and advisory services. We have experience with medical services, legal services, real estate rentals and investments, retail trade, and various other small businesses. As with any professional industry, it takes many years of gathering knowledge and experience to perform well.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Miami is a very dynamic city with so much to do. For the outdoors, I would definitely recommend going to Miami Beach and experience going out on a waverunner. Maybe going snorkeling or biking around Key Biscayne. For restaurants, I would suggest Smith & Wollensky in Miami Beach or Sugar in Downtown Miami. Lincoln Road and Brickell City Center are very cool shopping experiences. Catching a Miami Dolphins or Miami Heat game is always fun too.

I thank my grandmother, mother, and wife who have always been there for me and provided the support I needed to succeed.
