Hi Yarin, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I started my business because I wanted to build something of my own while making a real difference for homeowners and businesses. After years in the garage door and gate industry, I saw how important safety is and how often it is overlooked.

Garage doors are one of the largest and heaviest moving objects in a home. Broken springs, damaged cables, faulty openers, and improperly installed doors can create serious safety risks for families, children, pets, and property. Seeing these situations firsthand made me realize how important it is to have trained professionals who understand how to repair and install these systems correctly.

I saw an opportunity to build a company that focuses not only on quality workmanship, but also on safety, professionalism, and honest service. My goal has always been to make sure every customer has a garage door or gate system that operates safely, reliably, and gives them peace of mind.

What started as a small operation has grown into a company serving residential and commercial customers throughout South Florida. Today, we help homeowners, property managers, and businesses with garage doors, gates, and access control systems while continuing to prioritize safety, customer service, and long term relationships.

What should our readers know about your business?
Garage Doors Kingdom was built on a simple idea: provide homeowners and businesses with a safer, more professional, and more reliable experience than what is often found in the industry.

After spending years in the garage door and gate business, I saw firsthand how important safety, communication, and quality workmanship are. Garage doors are one of the largest and heaviest moving systems in a home, and when they are installed or repaired incorrectly, they can become a serious safety hazard for families, children, pets, and property.

My background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Israel, which helped shape my approach to problem solving, safety, and attention to detail. Those principles continue to guide how we operate our business today.

What sets us apart is our commitment to doing things the right way. We focus on educating customers, providing honest recommendations, and making sure every repair or installation is completed safely and professionally. We serve both residential and commercial customers throughout South Florida, helping with garage doors, gates, access control systems, repairs, installations, and ongoing maintenance.

Over the years, we have built strong relationships with homeowners, property managers, contractors, and home warranty providers. We are proud to serve as a trusted vendor for companies such as 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty and Rely Home, where professionalism, communication, and consistent service are essential.

Building a business has not always been easy. Like many entrepreneurs, I have faced challenges, made mistakes, and learned valuable lessons along the way. One of the biggest lessons has been understanding that growth comes from building strong systems and surrounding yourself with great people who share the same commitment to customers and quality service.

What I am most proud of is the trust our customers place in us. Every phone call, every referral, and every opportunity to help a homeowner, property manager, or business owner is something we value. Our mission is simple: deliver safe, reliable solutions and leave every customer feeling confident they made the right choice.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting South Florida for a week, I would want to give them a mix of beaches, nature, great food, and some of Florida’s most unique experiences.

We would start in Fort Lauderdale with a walk along Las Olas Boulevard, followed by dinner at one of the waterfront restaurants and a relaxing evening by the beach. A day on the water would definitely be part of the trip, whether it’s boating, fishing, or simply enjoying the Florida sunshine.

Later in the week, I would take a road trip to Naples. Naples has some of the most beautiful beaches in Florida, especially at sunset. Vanderbilt Beach and Naples Pier are great places to relax and enjoy the Gulf Coast atmosphere. For dinner, I would recommend a good seafood restaurant along Fifth Avenue South, where you can enjoy great food and people watching at the same time.

I would also include a visit to the Florida Keys. The drive alone is one of the most scenic experiences in the state, and the Keys offer incredible water views, snorkeling, diving, and a completely different vibe from South Florida.

For someone who enjoys nature, I would recommend exploring the Everglades, visiting natural springs, or kayaking through Florida’s mangrove trails. While I still feel like I haven’t explored everything Florida has to offer, one thing that always impresses me is the amount of natural beauty and outdoor adventure available year-round.

No Florida trip would be complete without a visit to Orlando. Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure are always a great experience and offer some of the best attractions in the country.

For me, the best part of Florida is the balance. You can spend the morning on the beach, the afternoon on a boat, the evening at a great restaurant, and the next day exploring nature or visiting world-class attractions. That’s what makes Florida such a special place to live.

I would like to give a shoutout to everyone who has been part of my journey over the years. Building a business has taught me that success is never the result of one person alone. Every technician, office manager, mentor, customer, vendor, and fellow business owner I have met along the way has contributed in some way to my growth.

I am especially grateful to the people who challenged me, pushed me to think bigger, and were honest enough to tell me what I needed to hear rather than what I wanted to hear. Some of my biggest lessons came from mistakes, difficult situations, and the willingness to keep learning and improving.

I also want to recognize the team members who work hard every day behind the scenes. Whether answering calls, helping customers, solving problems, or working in the field, they play an important role in delivering the level of service our customers expect.

Most importantly, I want to thank our customers for trusting us with the safety of their homes and businesses. Garage doors and gates are often overlooked until something goes wrong, but they play an important role in security and safety. Every phone call, every referral, and every opportunity to help a customer has helped us grow into the company we are today.

I never take that trust for granted, and it motivates us to continue improving every day.
