Meet Nocturnal Fix | Musician | Singer-Songwriter | Music Producer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nocturnal Fix and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nocturnal, how do you think about risk?
I believe that risk is a part of life. It can feel as though no matter what you do there is some element of risk. There are stories of people who are just standing outside and become involved in an accident. Personally for me, I can feel as though Fear has a seat at the table within my mind.
What if I am making the wrong choice?
What if I fail in front of everyone?
What if I am kidding myself?
But these questions tend to take me to a certain thought.
What if the years go by and I look back in regret?
This seems like the biggest risk to me.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I appreciate you asking about my work! Thank you.
Well, I’m a Miami based musician who is looking to create electronic music that’s as hot as the city with the mystery of the night. I’m looking to create that sound that either gets you moving or moves you emotionally.
I think of music pretty much every day and I spend time thinking of how I can improve my craft. I have some top-secret projects that are in development that I am pretty excited for. This includes collaborations with others, both musically and introducing cool visual elements that I can’t wait to share. I am also looking to incorporate some ideas for live shows. It’s going to be fun!
Creating something new can feel so rewarding. There are so many ways that someone can express themselves in an immersive manner.
I will admit though, there have been more difficulties than I first imagined.
When you are looking to create something that is professional, there will be obstacles. I am constantly being taught that you can’t just expect things to go your way. On more than one occasion I’ve performed to an empty room, except for the crickets. I worked for days on material only for it to fail and I’ve missed out on events because I was trying to get work done. I’ve been rejected, I’ve been ignored, and I’ve been made fun of. Moments like that can be discouraging, it can make you question yourself. But that’s the way life is no matter what situation you are in. Majority of the time if you want to get something done then you will face some push back.
Yet, with the negative also comes the positive. I’ve performed music to a crowd demanding an encore, I’ve been to places and met people that I never would have known. I’ve been able to connect with others with my work and just on a personal basis both locally and worldwide.
Moments like these are unforgettable. You wake up thinking of all the possibilities that are just waiting to become real.
There will be moments of frustration but if you want something then look around for what you can do to get you closer to it. Reminds me of the quote “Act as if your life depends on it because ultimately it does.”
When I am not working on new music I am trying to think of how to tell my story in the most creative way possible. Is there a way I can communicate visually? Or with other artists? There are so many things competing for people’s attention, so if they’re willing to give me their time, I better make sure it’s worth it.
I hope that people who listen to my music are able to feel what I feel. That celebration of both community and individuality with innovative sounds that invoke high energy. The next time you’re out at night, you’re feeling the vibe, and the streetlights are shining – I hope you feel a connection with my work.
I seek that whether it’s a personal performance or a packed crowd that I leave you with an experience you won’t forget.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There are so many great places! One spot that I would definitely recommend is Tea & Poets in the Sunset plaza. They serve great drinks and create such a warm atmosphere for creativity to flourish. You can watch local talent, see local merchants, play games and relax.
Villain theatre is another place that gives people a chance to express themselves on certain days with open mics while also having some funny shows on other days.
The SuperBlue exhibits feel like they are a modern way of alluring you in art.
We have some beautiful beaches and I appreciate the art deco style of Miami Beach. The Everglades are a great way to get an experience that you wouldn’t get anywhere else.
Want to get closer to animals? I think that Lion Country Safari is great for the family and being able to see animals walk right past you can’t help but add a little magic to the experience.
Kayaking or taking a boat ride in several spots is also a blast.
If you have some money and want an amazing view of the city then go to the rooftop bar Sugar. The panoramic view from above can make you feel grateful to have a moment like that.
This city has so many great places, I am constantly discovering and exploring this place I call home. I know I am forgetting to add others but I would say if you have some time then just go and explore, but also be aware of your surroundings!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I love this question! People tend to forget how it can take a village to nurture something great.
I honestly can feel at times like I hit the lotto. I have so many people who are supportive and want what’s best for me which makes me feel so grateful. My family and friends who cheer me on. Sebastian and Lauren, who I am able to get feedback on how to keep making something good go great. Natalie, who I am able to bounce different ideas with. Angie, who reaches out to others to let them know what I’ve done. My city, my country, and of course who I feel like I could never thank enough, my amazing parents. You’re lucky if you get to meet your heroes, I was blessed enough to have them be my parents.
