We had the good fortune of connecting with Ross Bielejeski and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ross, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
Success is finding the right work life balance, especially having a family. If you can get locked into that zone you have made it life. When I’m able to hang with my kids, my wife, play golf, exercise, or anything in that nature, my work life is beyond on point! I see so many folks focus on their work first life second and it’s sad to see. If you focus on your life first and work second, at least for me, the chips fall in their place.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m in the entertainment business, specializing in providing music acts for live events. Our point of differentiation is all of our acts are created within and primarily focus on what the audience wants versus what we want. Similar to how Amazon is “customer obsessed,” we are audience obsessed. We have been in business for now over 10 years and have always trended upward (except during Covid days). Our biggest challenge to date was keeping our business afloat during covid. We are in the live events business. No events happened during covid, for months and months. This was the ultimate test for us. How do we still bring in money, keep people employed, and put food on our table. I would need much more room to type to tell you how it all happened…but it did, it did happened and we are stronger than ever! Along the way the biggest lessons I learned were to work with people, be flexible, adapt, listen, take advise, and get out of your own way. To be successful you must listen to the market and your peers, make adjustments, and leave your ego at the door.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Best place to visit is the beach! Any beach. We are in south Florida so the beach is where it’s at. In Ft Lauderdale there have been many places that have popped up and are flourishing. Canyon, Boatyard, Tap 42 just to name a few are great hangs, great food, great people.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’ve been inspired by so many people and experiences in my life it’s so tough to just name one or a few. My parents for sure, giving me the best childhood and direction in this crazy life. My parents never once told me to not follow a dream I had. They only encouraged it and gave priceless advice along the way. My brother falls in this same category. My brother is the smartest human I know and gave me, and continues to give me, the best advise around. Then there’s a random author, entrepreneur, business man named Jesse Itzler. Jesse is a guy I can really relate to. His foundation is the music business and a blue collard grind. Built his enterprise from the ground up all while being super energetic, grateful, and the ultimate team player. His swagger and style of business is inspirational.
