Meet Annabel Kalev | realtor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Annabel Kalev and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Annabel, what principle do you value most?
I always trust my gut feeling and I like the saying: human first. If it does not align with my values and does not feel right then no amount of money or exposure can compensate.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I work as a residential buyer’s agent and a commercial agent in Keller Williams Capital Realty. I’ve always had interest and passion towards real estate, but every time I meet a first-time homebuyer I remind myself of how I was completely clueless when I looked for my first home in Miami. If I had someone empathetic and understanding about settling in America (I just moved from Europe back then) ,well let’s just say life would have been much easier back then.
Now my mission is to help foreign professionals and investors to settle in and not only find their homes in beautiful Florida, but to be able to establish businesses and invest into commercial real estate in Miami.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I had a million images flash through my head and most of them involved FOOD. Personally I believe Miami has an amazing food scene and has a sprinkle of everything. The combination of food, music and nature is what I love the most about Miami.
Some of my personal favorite places to enjoy & bring a friend to:
-Old Havana Cuban bar- A little touristy Cuban restaurant in Little Havana with a beautiful backyard area. Great food, mojitos and ambiance every time.
– A day out on the water! I could never get enough of a nice boat day. It’s all about the sunsets!
– Joia Beach- Beautiful upscale restaurant in Jungle Island. Greatest mezcal cocktails. We love to go with the girls on Sundays for lunch.
– Lagniappe- Super cute and reasonably priced winebar in Midtown. Great charcuterie boards and jazz nights.
– Bar-hopping and people-watching in Brickell- Could be a fairly priced night at some super fun hidden gem bars or if you want to go wild and order bottles at a classy dinner party that turns into a club after like Marion-both are possible.
– Coconut Grove and Coral Gables-There is just so many hidden gems in both.
– Fireman Derek’s pies- best cakes I’ve ever had in Miami.
-All the Cuban coffee anytime & anywhere.
-After doing all the above and more come visit my office in 550 Biltmore Way PH2.
We will sit down next to a coffee and figure out where exactly is your next home in Miami.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to shoutout my family. My father, aunt and grandmother allowed me to be my stubborn self and do things my way even if at the time they did not fully understand where I am coming from or trying to go.
Their support helped me gain courage to move to the other side of the World alone and build my own dream career and life.
