We had the good fortune of connecting with WRDFRNDZ and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi WRDFRNDZ, what’s one piece of conventional advice that you disagree with?
As WRDFRNDZ, we don’t believe in the conventional advice of fitting in a trend to secure success. Although this method has proven to be successful for some, there is no longevity and the trend eventually fizzle out along with its participants.
We believe in looking from within and presenting our creativity outward. Our style is completely original from our music to our performance art. As we stand out, we single out our true fans who are more supportive to us and our cause.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
WRDFRNDZ is the brain child of Miami music creator, Frankie Midnight. Frankie is the composer, producer and creative director of the group.
WRDFRNDZ, as a brand, represents youth, imagination and fantasy. Members include Venus Vu’ Sen, an extraterrestrial from Venus’s east coast (aphrodite Terra), Beary Fuzz, a brown bear from the Hawaiian Manoa Falls forest and Frankie Midnight, Carol City native, American made.
The Journey has been a smooth one through the grace of God which WRDFRNDZ believe in and never take lightly. The biggest lesson is staying true to originality and allowing God to take the wheel as progression have grown rapidly.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The group usually hang out on Miami Beach. At night, the moon’s glow reflects off of the dark water. So much mystery and serenity.
Frankie is a pretty good cook so the group eats over at his place but a really cool spot to eat is a nice carribean restaurant in Miami Gardens called, “Macca Tree”.
The group usually stay to themselves unless performing out at some cool spots like Kill Your Idol, Savage Labs, Gramps, Floyd Miami, and Sky Yard Rooftop.
Miami can be a very lit place to be but in all honestly, WRDFRNDZ are introverts that enjoy staying in their creative bubble making music and watching X-Files on Hulu.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
WRDFRNDZ would like to shout out poet and illustrator, Shel Silverstein and one of his particular books, “Where The Sidewalk Ends”. Thank you for your beautiful poems, illustrations and overall creativity which played a big part in shaping who we are.
