We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaylynn Brazelton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jaylynn, alright, let’s jump in with a deep one – what’s you’re definition for success?
Success can be defined as the achievement of one’s goals, desires, and aspirations. It is a subjective term that means different things to different people. Personally, success means making my younger self proud, continuously improving, and dreaming big. God has blessed me with the success I have today, and I am proud to say I have worked hard for everything I have and will continue to do so. I learned at a young age that hard work, determination, and an optimistic mindset are how you become successful. To me, failure is not an option and never has been. If I fail, I get up and try again. I believe there are different versions of success in this life. I would say for a young entrepreneur, I am successful. However, I will continue to strive for more and I can’t wait to see what success that drive brings me next. This is only the beginning.

What should our readers know about your business?
As a nineteen-year-old real estate agent licensed in TN, GA, and AL, I have shown that age is not a limiting factor when it comes to success in this industry. Despite being young, I graduated from high school in May of 2022 and was in real estate school by July. I passed my exam on the first try and was licensed by August, all before beginning my first semester of college. I knew my age may be a turn-off to clients, so having something to prove only made me work harder. I closed on my first home in November, and that feeling is what keeps me going. I am proud of my accomplishments and am determined to continue to prove myself as a dedicated and hardworking agent.

However, I have learned that the real estate business is not easy. It takes patience, hard work, and determination to succeed. People may have misconceptions about what it means to be a real estate agent, but the reality is that it involves working long hours, managing multiple clients at once, and possibly working months without a paycheck. In addition to working with current clients, it is also crucial to continuously seek out new clients. Overcoming the challenges that come with this business only makes me better and more prepared for the future.

I am proud of the success I have achieved as a young agent, and I want the world to know that hard work and determination are what truly define success. Age, gender, or social status should not limit one’s ability to succeed in any field, including real estate.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
As a real estate agent, I have the unique opportunity to not only help clients find their dream home but also to share with them the beauty and charm of the tri-state area of AL, TN, and GA. I have come to appreciate and love the place I call home and enjoy telling new clients about all that it has to offer.

Sand Mountain is the perfect place for those seeking country living with its picturesque views of nature, livestock, and small-town charm. For those who enjoy the city life, Chattanooga, TN is the place to be, with its wide variety of shopping, restaurants, and activities. Trenton, GA offers the perfect mix of locally-owned shops and restaurants with the added privacy of a small town. I also love Jasper, TN, which boasts the most amazing people and a vibrant community.

When it comes to dining, the tri-state area has so much to offer, with Cloud’s Pizza, The Hope House Cafe, Thatchers, and Top of the Rock being among my favorite restaurants. For those who love hiking, Cloudland Canyon is a must-visit destination, with its breathtaking views and opportunities for hang-gliding.

Overall, I am grateful for the opportunity to share my love of the tri-state area with my clients and help them find the perfect home in this beautiful region.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are several people in my life that has helped me become who I am today. I couldn’t be more blessed with such amazing people. My family has always supported me in my big dreams and assured me that I would achieve them. My boyfriend, Cole, has encouraged me every step of the way and reminded me of my strength when I needed it the most. My team lead and mentor, Skyler Vaughn, has taught me everything I know about what I do and always picks up the phone for my many questions, along with my awesome brokers and office members. I also would like to show appreciation to my true friends who have stuck by me every step of the way. I also always give credit to those who doubted me, because it only made me more determined.
