We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiffany Walker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tiffany, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
My favorite quote is “I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me”. Philippians 4:13. Growing up in the church, I came across this quote. This scripture means that as long as you believe in God and work hard, you can achieve anything you put your mind to. Looking back on my life, I have had a pretty rough childhood, but I have always been determined to make something of myself. What I like about this quote is that it reminds me that no matter what I go through, God is always there to get me through whatever challenges I may come across.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

What sets me apart from others is my ability to make unique homemade ice creams and sorbets with no added sugars or additives. I have gotten to where I am today by continuing to perfect my recipes, prioritize my marketing, and creating new flavors. This journey has not been easy, however it’s been worth every challenge. Some flavors have been a struggle for me because every ice cream flavor has a different technique. It is also hard sometimes to stay motivated to continue to my market my products and creating new content. Some of the lessons I have learned along the way is to listen to my customers, embrace the constructive criticism that I receive and most of all, to keep self-marketing because no matter what people are always watching. I desire for the world to know that through my business I strive to bring happiness and joy to my customers.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to thank everyone at my previous job, “Williams Island”for encouraging me, pushing me to produce more ice cream and sorbet flavors, and giving me advice on how I could make my product better. My journey pretty much started here and I have come a long way with all of the flavors that I have produced. Fortunately I have many more to come.
