We had the good fortune of connecting with Folasade Escarment and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Folasade, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
Born and raised in Miami FL, Coming from an African and Haitian background life has been beautiful. With two of the very strongest ethnicity the energy and soul in everything I just screams very loudly. I love it! I cherish and embrace it. There is so much I’ve learned from both sides of my family and our culture, and it continues to uplift me and keep me going. When I dance the Afrocentric culture takes over me.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I picked up dance at the early age of 3
years old. Born and raised in Miami FL,
I began to attract a large audience
from school dancing with the marching
band, headlining in school
performances, and through my
intensive training with PAN Miami (Pan
Performing Arts studio). Here at PAN
I also picked up training in Acting,
Piano, and different styles of dance.
After graduating High school my dance
career phenomenally! Took off booking
jobs with multiple Major artist . Dropping consistent
content on social media, I continue to get the
attention of more major artists and content creators. From
here on my journey has been taking
me in the direction it is destined to
take. I very proud of my focus and consistency over the years, It definitely was not easy, Today i still face difficult moments but its all worth it. My positive mind will get me further. I had to learn how to ignore certain things and that everything doesn’t need a reaction. I keep my circle small and God close.
