We had the good fortune of connecting with Jada Janelle and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jada, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I don’t like to call my business a business. I prefer to more so call it a God given gift to give back and help others that look like me go further with their brand.

I wanted to use my talents and knowledge to help other females that have small businesses to grow and understand the importance of Marketing and Branding while still being able to service them on the design side yet still build a community and be able to deliver the recourses that isn’t ever shared or delivered to the minority or at least properly.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started off designing websites during the Pandemic. It was just a side hustle as the world was going through what it was going through, I didn’t have a job but I still wanted money in my pockets. One day I just took my computer, started messing around with platforms and programs such as Photoshop and Shopify and it took off from there.

It never been easy, it has been times I’ve had disputes from clients for no reason however won and it has been times I’ve had unsatisfied clients because they were being extremely picky but had no real content nor mission for their business.

My brand is more than just a business and/or service – it’s a community, it’s a mentorship, it’s a resource.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’d visit a nice restaurant or winery. I’m a lover of a calm and content atmosphere. It doesn’t have to be party party all the time. Sometimes it’s great to just relax and breathe.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to thank my parents and God for my drive, hustle, and talents. I wouldn’t have went through the trials and tribulations I’ve gone through without God teaching me the lessons I needed to grow as an individual and professional. Everything in life is a stepping stone.
