We had the good fortune of connecting with Vanessa Munley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Vanessa, what do you attribute your success to?
Consistency! I learned this at a young age in gymnastics. If you want to be successful in anything you have to keep showing up.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I studied theatre in college. I’ve always had big dreams of acting on Broadway or TV. I’m still working towards those dream. I never plan on giving up. When social media took off I decided to hop on that ride, knowing it could possibly lead to landing gigs. I’ve since worked with alot of great businesses as a model/actress. I’m proud of the work that I’ve done thus far and always excited for more opportunities! I think a big reason for my success on social media is my ability to be diverse. I can do gymnastics videos, yoga/fitness videos, dancing, voice overs, modeling, promotional, and much more! I enjoy a challenge and I like to accept opportunities that are asked of me! I want people to know that I am genuine, honest, and vulnerable in my work life and personal life. Social media can be a fake, ugly place sometimes. I like to be real!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Miami is a never ending party! There is so much to do! I’d take my friends to wynwood during the day to see all the amazing art, food/ drinks, and people watching! We’d have to have a beach and pool day as well! I love going to muscle beach and having a fun outdoor workout! I love to meet other fitness creators/influencers and make videos together. My favorite restaurants are Doma, Call her Gaby, Bakan, Uchi !

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family!! My mom and dad took me to gymnastics practice 5 days a week for 15 years. My gymnastics success led to my track and field success. I decided to try pole vaulting, which just so happened to go hand and hand with gymnastics. Usually the best pole vaulters were once gymnasts! My parents then researched the best pole vaulting facilities in the US! It was 2 hours away from where we lived. They took me there twice a week. I ended up getting a full track and field scholarship to Nova SoutheasternUniversity! That’s all thanks to my parents ❤️
