We had the good fortune of connecting with Christina DiArcangelo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christina, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I have taken several risks through out my career but one that stands out to me very vividly was when I decided to start working in the cannabinoid clinical research space. Most of my career I worked in traditional pharmaceuticals, medical devices and biotechnologies which meant that I had limited exposure to nutraceuticals. In my opinion, the cannabinoid clinical research space is aligned with nutraceuticals. I can remember the stigma by both colleagues in the traditional pharma space and then something similar happened on the cannabinoid side of the industry. It was quite challenging but I know that what I was going to be working on would help so many patients, I need to stay on track with my purpose. I did not succumb to my fears or worries. I was confident in my abilities from the many years of working in traditional pharma that I would become a massive asset to the cannabinoid clinical research industry.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I grew up a blue collar kid with very humble beginnings. Everything that I have achieved to date has been done so with hard work and diligence. It has not been an easy journey, especially being a women in a man’s role primarily most of my career. My motivation is to make sure that I help patients that are in need.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take my best friend to one of my favorite hotels if they were visiting me in Philadelphia for a night and would plan time at the spa, an amazing dinner, dessert and go to a jazz club. Just spending quality time listening to music and enjoying each other’s company.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate my shout out to my various teams across all of the companies that I support. I love, value, and respect each one of you. I give so much credit to my late father, Albert J. DiArcangelo, Sr. for playing such a tremendous role model in my life as well as all of the people’s lives that I interact with,
