We had the good fortune of connecting with CP Hollywood and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi CP, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
I’m obsessive and extremely driven. I have a habit of competing with myself. I try to put in work until I’m dead tired daily!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What separated me in music is that I have been writing music since the age of 8 and overall I am highly educated with a undergrad degree form FSU and a Master’s Degree from Barry University.. Trauma brought about the need for an outlet of my emotions at an early age and I quickly turned to creativity. As a producer I sing, write, rap, mix, master, shoot and edit film. You can put me into a studio by myself and an amazing album will be done in 2-3 weeks tops, with music videos all done in house! Most producers don’t know about vocal harmony, because they aren’t singers and they can’t help with the format because they aren’t writers etc.

I started managing @imcharm3r @thebitcoinfairy @tolivejent this past year and as a management company I have seen tremendous growth.

Business has been the biggest obstacle in the MUSIC BUSINESS. Alot of artists don’t understand and haven’t created a blueprint. I have created a 32 step music release plan that gets an single maximum exposure and movement. it took me 2 years of paying for services, consultations and trial/error before landing on the right strategy.

I took about ten years off of music. I was signed to Slip N Slide records as a producer and shortly after leaving the label, I decided that the music industry didn’t have enough business tied to it for me at the time and the vibe of people was too dark. At the time I was a middle school teacher and had songs on the radio (2006-2011). I became an Assistant Principal, Basketball coach etc. I couldn’t take being an underpaid teacher and music had drained me. I took the route of immersing myself into Real Estate and within my 3rd month I made $88,000 and did only real estate business for 9 years. I opened an office and got the office to 225 agents beofre selling it and getting back to music in 2021.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I like Gard Rock and Las Olas. When I go out for fun, I want to be around nice things, scenario etc.

But I am big on going to the beach at night time and meditating and clearing my mind. I would definitely show people some of the Haitian food spots and Jewish food spots that they wouldn’t normally eat at if they are from out of town.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
As far as music, My father and my brother really helped me throughout my life. My father bought me my first set of recording equipment and my brother Matt, bought me my first beat machine (yes that’s how old I am). lol

My sister used to invite her firends over and I would perform my own songs when i was real little (like 8 years old).

I had a show chorus teacher (Mr. Adams) that really taught me vocal harmony and self confidence in singing.

The Boys n Girls lub for Creative Arts saved my life in High School. I would go there almost everyday and get away from the trouble I was getting into.

A producer named Kenjo (RIP) showed me how to mix and format beats. He produced a lot for Field Mob and Disturbing the peace.

I had a manager named “Mike Slick” that gave me a lot of insight into my imaging, what I should be doing and what not to do etc.

“Lady”, one of my good friends (Erin Bryant) has helped me tremendously get my digital space and business processes organized.

As far as Real Estate Investing
I had a partner whom mentored me Dwayne Shaw and within a year or 2 I was making six figures. I now teach others how to invest.
