We had the good fortune of connecting with Vicky Blanco and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Vicky, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
HNDL.D came to mind in the midst of the pandemic after being laid off from my regular 9-5 job. Unfortunately, like many people, I was laid off due to the closing of many businesses and in marketing as much of a necessity as it is, it is also very much a luxury to be able to market your company in creative ways. HNDL.D came to mind to bring what I had learned from the industry to my own personal clients and work when so many people needed the extra help to keep their businesses afloat as well as to be my creative outlet during a hard time.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
HNDL.D is a full service boutique creative agency based in Miami, FL. We offer social media management, content creation, social media strategy, copywriting, influencer relations, and event support. The fast growing industry makes for a quick pace in our day-to-day and with that comes challenges. We pride ourselves on having a keen eye for creative marketing and always being in the know with trends in the digital space.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Where to start… if I was hosting a friend in Miami I’d pack up a week full of activities like beach days, dinners, bars, shopping, and more.

I’d probably recommend we stay somewhere in mid-beach at a fun, trendy hotel. We’d start our days with coffee and a breakfast treat from some favorites like Pura Vida, Zac the Baker, or Panther Coffee. Walk to the beach, grab some chairs and umbrellas on the sand, and relax for the day with some cocktails or rosé. For lunch maybe head to Coconut Grove and have delicious food and drinks at Bayshore Club while taking in the views. Another amazing lunch spot for views, not in the Grove, is Amara in Edgewater!

After lunch we’d do some shopping either at the Bal Harbor Shops or Design District, and if we’re looking for more casual I’d hit up local shops in Coral Gables or Coconut Grove.

For dinner we’re definitely hitting Uchi for amazing sushi or if we’re having a more casual night the best local sushi spot – and I don’t even want to give it away haha – is Matsuri. Matsuri is the perfect spot for fresh sushi away from tourists.

If we’re heading to some bars we’re definitely going to Veza Sur in Wynwood for some beers, Margot Natural Wine Bar for the best vibe and wine in Downtown, The Sylvester for a cool and vibey night, or Over Under for a casual but fun time.

I seriously can’t list out everything I’d do because there’s so many options but this is a pretty good place to start!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
This shoutout is dedicated to the many family and friends I am lucky enough to have that have been my number one supporters throughout the process of opening my own business.
