We had the good fortune of connecting with Taynah Alves Oliveira and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Writing was a secret talent for many years. Although I had been awarded for it with a trip to Australia at the age of 12, I never fully sunk my hands into the possibility of making it a career until 2018. This is when I decided to go back to school and get my masters in International Communications (with a concentration in copywriting in advertising). From there, my world began to evolve into living the life of a creative. I worked on campaigns for the city of Miami, clients in Spain, and spiritual coaches in Virginia.
However, I knew there was more to my story than just the craft of writing. While the pen helped me, my health wasn’t doing so hot. I had excruciating back pain to the point of seeing a physical therapist 3 times a week for 3-6 hour appointments. This is when I decided to return to another one of my childhood passions, exercise.
So as clients kept rolling in, I began to prioritize my health more. This led to me landing another job as the assistant manager at ADAPT in north Miami. Life has a strange way of accommodating us sometimes, but I admit that I have always been pleasantly surprised by the unknown.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
A huge shoutout to my family. My brother, father, and mom have been my #1 fans in supporting me during this entrepreneurial life. Their support and words of encouragement make it possible to keep getting back up.
To my childhood friends who take the time to remind me how loved I am just for existing. And to my mentors/life coaches and clients, thank you for constantly pushing me to be a better person.
Additionally, “The Body Keeps a Score” By Dr. Bessel van der Kolk, “Green Lights” by Matthew McConaughey, and “Finding Me” by Viola Davis are 3 books that have helped me change my perspective and decisions in life.
