Meet Jason Cabral | Owner, JMC Contracting Group

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jason Cabral and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jason, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
My deep-rooted passion for construction was nurtured in my early years, influenced by my family’s work in the field. I am from Hartford, Connecticut, and I remember helping my father assisting him on-site with many projects. When I was 16, I embarked on my own construction journey as a painter but soon progressed to undertaking large remodeling jobs. After being in the industry for over 10 years, I felt a fire in me to start my own business. I truly enjoy being able to transform my clients’ homes and make their dreams become reality.

What should our readers know about your business?
JMC Contracting Group is a family-owned and operated construction company, with over 10 years of building experience. We provide high-quality, professional residential and commercial renovation services to our clients. We are dedicated to delivering exceptional results, building lasting relationships, and contributing to the value of homes and buildings in our community. We strive to be the best in our field, and to always operate with integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence. We stand behind our work and guarantee 100% client satisfaction. It was not always easy, in fact, I started the company in 2019, just before COVID. Within a year of starting the business, the world shut down. Work stopped. I didn’t know when the next job would come. Fortunately, Florida opened quickly, the work picked up and has been nonstop ever since.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Visiting South Florida wouldn’t be a trip without first going to the beach! We like Fort Lauderdale Beach because we live in Plantation and that beach is the closest to us. Being out in the sun all day, we will get hungry so food is a must. We may want to stay on the beach and eat at Coconuts. They have amazing seafood and are located on the intercoastal. Or we may want to explore the strip of Las Olas and eat at Rocco’s Tacos or Louie Bossi. Las Olas has a lot of great shops to check out as well. Lastly, we may hit up our favorite Cuban spot, Padrino’s Cuban Restaurant. They just opened their new location in Plantation Midtown.

JMC Contracting Group could never do this alone! We would like to Shout Out our Vendors and Wholesalers who partner with us to help build our clients’ dream home, including Ready Set Action Corp, HDJ Electric, Creative Concrete, Sax Studios, BC Homes, Innovative Plumbing, All Systems Inc., and CQ Woodworking. They are the best of the best and provide amazing, detailed work! We have been fortunate to be mentored by a thriving restaurant business in South Florida- Padrino Cuban Restaurant! They have helped to teach us to grow and scale the business, as well as providing guidance with putting family first! They have truly been an asset to our company.
Lastly, we are very involved with our Church, Church by the Glades. Our faith has been the center and driving force of our life and business. We would not be where we are today without this in our lives.
