Meet Simone Morris | Entrepreneur/photobooth Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Simone Morris and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Simone, what’s the most important thing you’ve done for your children?
The most important thing I’ve done as a parent that has impact on my children is solidifying their foundation. Allowing them to make mistakes without judgment, to be seen, heard, praising them and most importantly is having God at the center of their foundation. He over sees all angels. I can go back to when I was growing up, where I was told what I needed to do and what to do. Unrealistic demands were placed on me and my dreams for myself, I was told was not going to get me the “American Dream” (That was never my dream). The pressure of not allowing me to come into my true identity caused stagnation and many failures. Having God as my kids personal guide, allowing them to come into their true identity is by far the most important thing I’ve done as a parent.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m a Resident Service Coordinator for a supportive housing unit. I’ve always had a passion for Social Services. I enjoy helping others, motivating others and finding solutions for problems. That’s my way of giving back and doing my part in society. I’ve learned that everyone’s path in life is different, we may have similarities but what’s for me will me for me and what’s for someone else will be for them. Everything is ordained. I want people to know to smile more, celebrate more, give thanks, have grace for yourself and live life unapologetically. Be you, you’re unique!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We’re going to the beach! I love, love, love the ocean. I’ll be sure to book the AirBnB close to the water in downtown Fort Lauderdale. There’s multiple restaurants and hangouts that are a must: definitely going to Smitty’s for wings and a vibe, Boatyard, tacocraft, El Camino, the wharf, Eddie V’s and rivertail just to name a few. I’ll also make sure we have our down day which will be at my favorite park “Colee Hammock Park” to enjoy out time together.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Definitely! First and foremost, God. I’ve prayed and asked to have a business for myself. Something that didn’t feel like work, something that I’ll love and that will bring joy and pleasure. My kids for being understanding and supportive of my many business ideas, my friends for their continuous support and listening ears and a big shoutout to myself for having patience and grace for myself. Trusting the process.
