We had the good fortune of connecting with Gabriele Bauer and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gabriele, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Growing up in Germany, I admired my mom who was a salon owner for over 50 years. I witnessed what it took to create a successful business- hard work, long hours, and a dedication to clients. For over thirty years, I have been a hairstylist in America.
I studied hair design in Europe, mainly Germany and London. I loved the creative process. I knew that one day, I, too, would own my own salon.
I wanted to create a salon with an edgy, service -oriented atmosphere where clients could feel pampered. I wanted to
create a “staycation” feel; getting away without leaving town. I knew a strong working team atmosphere would
be imperative, as well.

Once my children were of age to be more independent, I felt the desire to “take the plunge” and go out on my own.
I wanted to fulfill my dreams and create style and fashion via hair. I will say, it was a scary move as we were in the midst of COVID, October 2020.
That being said, many safety features had to be addressed such as rolling plexiglass walls to place between each hair station.
I installed a Halo system on the AC unit, and every client and hairdresser needed a temperature test prior to entering the salon.
Lest we forget the gallons of sanitizer needed to continuously wipe the salon clean. It was a huge undertaking, but I can proudly say,
we stayed afloat during a most difficult time ! Since then, my salon has flourished. I am living my dream!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I was born into a Hair Salon Owner business in Germany. My amazing mother owned 5 Hair salons.
The creative part took over and after getting my hairdresser education I traveled the world doing shows and Seminars for the German hair product company Goldwell and Kadus.
Loving Florida I settled down in Boca Raton and have been enjoying beautifying our clients.
I am super proud as a foreigner woman to build the American dream, my own Hair Salon.
What sets us apart for this business is we created a quite calm environment where clients can unwind with our massaging shampoo chairs and scalp treatments.
We want our clients to feel that they are the most important person through their visit.
With receiving the newest hair trends and products.
Our team works great together and gives our client a super knowledge and friendly atmosphere.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I enjoy the outdoors and nature when I am not working, so I would definitely recommend Morikami Gardens in Delray so my friend could experience Japanese culture. Gumbo Limbo is a beautiful park across from the beach. Beautiful aquariums, magnificent trees, and a nature center are educational and
worthwhile visiting. Of course the beaches would be a highlight, too! Mizner Park is an amazing place for upscale shops and tantalizing restaurants.
Uptown Boca is a lovely place for dining , as well. For another high-end shopping experience, I would take my friend to the Town Center mall where
we could purchase treasures in stores like Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus, Gucci, and the Apple store!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My recognition will have to go to my staff who incredibly support this small woman owned business. They are super creative, always giving clients the best salon experiences with starting a thorough hair consultation for haircuts, hair color, highlights, Extensions and product knowledge for there home use.

We carry Kerastase, Davines, AZ.
So special shout out goes to our
super stylist: Courtney Tozzo who has over 17 years experience
amazing stylist: Jenna Neighbour who has over 22 years experience
