We had the good fortune of connecting with Anthony Guzman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anthony, what do you attribute your success to?
Above many factors that contribute to our success, it’s always been about Believing in our Brand. Eat Local, Drink Local, Tour Local. Our audience knows that we love what we do because they feel our infectious energy. Both on our food tours and through our social media & online channels.

I pride myself in marketing a brand that people can believe in. We do this by providing consistent clarity, and most importantly, driving a brand our customers can trust. There’s nothing more fulfilling than reading each one of our 900+ 5 star reviews. It proves that the belief in our Brand is resonating with so many people!

That’s really the core of what we are trying to achieve. When people believe in your brand, they trust you. When they trust you, they buy from you.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Craft Food Tour’s mission is to help visitors and residents alike enjoy the best that South Florida has to offer. It started with our passion for off-the-beaten-path, “non-touristy” food and drinks that come along with a local insight of its treasures.

Our company was founded by myself (Anthony Guzman) and Matt Guidice, our friendship started over food, but we were also stolen by the opportunity of Food Tourism. Its food, people, culture and the chance to support local restaurants had us intrigued.

Our love of South Florida and it’s eclectic culture inspired us to create our city’s finest culinary tour. We sampled the perfect margaritas, ate savory regional dishes, sipped on local craft beer, enjoyed fresh Jianbings from arguably the best Jianbing vendor in the country and much more to showcase it all to you. Now, the heart and soul of the company is now made up of our restaurant parters from all walks of life and backgrounds.

Our goal is to ensure that all of our tour participants have a fantastic time and leave with a real confidence to continue their exploration of our beautiful towns. We recommend taking our food tours at the start of your stay or weekend so you can take on the city armed with knowledge and insight of what makes South Florida so beautiful, so vibrant and so special. We are proud to share our culinary discoveries.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
So many people to shout-out and thank for helping me get here. Wanted to take a quick moment to especially appreciate my grandparents. They are with me everyday and taught me so many valuable lessons in life.

I can go on about all the good times they have given me and my family. True Cuban American patriots who guided their lives to freedom. They showed me that even through adversity, success can be achieved through hard work and dedication. And just that being a good person goes such a long way.

What has always impressed and motivated me was that both my grandfathers successfully reset their professional careers after moving to America. Through these challenges, they did it with a smile on their face and a positive attitude. The biggest things they taught me was to work hard, love your family and not take life too seriously.
