We had the good fortune of connecting with Héctor Pizarro and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Héctor, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
At first I was very skeptical because I went to school for all these degrees and wanted to work for myself. I was doing audits, grants, finding resources and care for family and clients that were in need. I saw that the mental health field only allowed for specific help that was molded within the mission, vision and the curriculum of the contract .

I was a victim of rape, homelessness and mental health disorders that I wasn’t helped properly until I was able to find spiritual guidance away from medicine and utilizing natural remedies and holistic approaches through many of the different spiritual practices I am Initiated under 1) Palo Mayombe 2) Lukumi ( Santeria) 3) 21 division 4) Haitian Vodou 5) Esperitismo (medium)

Usually people tend to stick to one religious practice because they were branched out or found the proper people to adjust and teach from early age .

What should our readers know about your business?
My clients have the opportunity to use whichever practice that works and manifests with them without being manipulated or controlled by any outside influences.

Clients can come as they are and be able to find aligning godparents (if it isn’t me)also housing, job placement, and financial stability. All practices work within their own rules and structure with out having to mix any of the practices .

I have an unique Botanica where I allow different practitioners to come and work from my store as well but people still inquire for me because they say their experience with me is like no other .

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Local spots I would take them to haulover nude beach to have them see how liberated a person can feel just from stepping out of your Norms .

I will also take them to local mom and pop shops such as myself to show them that miami and Broward still have people who care about their local communities other then these franchise . ( empanada Loca ) a Puerto Rican cuisine or el Conokito Dominican Restaraunt (119 st Miami shores )

Support my local night club options from Wilton manors strip, to Hollywood board walk . South beach hasn’t been the same especially with the price gauging and over priced food and things to do for us locals .

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mom and her company, Organizacion Humanitaria. Through Chaplin services, throughout their community they help their community pay their bills, feed the hungry, offer assistance after natural disasters. They supply clothing, temporary electricity, homemade food and free classes for GED and community organizing. They also do mental health advocacy.
