Meet Esteban Meneses | I am a Wedding Photographer and Portrait Photographer.

We had the good fortune of connecting with Esteban Meneses and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Esteban, what do you attribute your success to?
My success is based entirely on my family, it is important to have a strong nucleus that can inspire you, my family has always been my success and strongest project.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I currently live in Ecuador, I come from a family of artists, musicians, filmmakers, makeup artists from which since I was a child I have been able to learn to appreciate life from a totally different perspective and full of color.
For 9 years I have been making wedding documentaries, in which I have been able to get to have several international awards from specialized associations in the white industry, such as MyWed, YouRockPhotographers, plus my photos have been published in large communities of photographers as How I Shoot This, Looks Like Film, etc, I have received 25 international awards that allowed me to get to travel to several countries, meeting incredible human beings of which I have been able to capture their essence from a very artistic way with the intention that my images can endure over time. I believe a lot in good energies and I base my work on that to achieve good results that allow me to connect with my clients and achieve a great emotional sensitivity to get more authentic and natural images.
Within my documentaries in photography I use natural light a lot, however when I want to make more creative portraits I use flash in this way giving a more representative touch of my brand, a fusion of the documentary with the artistic.
I currently shoot on 35mm film as well, that way I have been able to deliver a visual treasure to my clients.
I have always wanted to innovate and keep up with new trends in order to offer my clients the best experiences.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I come from a city called Cotacachi, in the north of my country. Since I was little, we were lucky to live in a protected ecological reserve in which we were always full of flora and fauna. We are surrounded by volcanoes and incredible lakes, such as Cuicocha, Yahuarcocha, Mojanda. , etc and its people are very friendly.
A variety of climates that we can find just by traveling a few hours, the gastronomy of our country is incredible and in my city our typical dish is called Carnes Coloradas, which as a gastronomic heritage is over 80 years old.
My recommendation is without a doubt to start there, with gastronomy and then we would walk through lakes knowing a variety of animal species such as the condor, which is one of the most important symbols of our country, we would visit the capital of our country Quito, its historic center You will love it, it keeps the essence of Quito and all its culture, without a doubt it is a very precious heritage for us. We would tour the mountains, then we would visit the coast and its beautiful beaches, then we would go to the east to meet the indigenous tribes and their great rivers, we would end up in the Galapagos, one of the wonders of the world. I would love to take them to every corner of Ecuador, I am sure they will fall in love
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to send a greeting to all those who love photography, to invite them to persevere, only perseverance can take them far and achieve their dreams. I will always be willing to talk to the new generations and I want to be a good example for them.
