We had the good fortune of connecting with Cody O’Callaghan and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cody, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I grew up in Lewes, Delaware. My Dad was self employed and owned his own business. Due to his hard work, my mom was able to be a stay home mom to me and my brother. Seeing how he worked and provided made a huge impact on my work ethic. Hard work, responsibility, and commitment were highly valued in our household. From a young age, I learned that consistent effort and dedication were crucial for success. This upbringing has shaped my professional identity significantly. I’m known for my diligence, determination, and ability to handle responsibility, qualities I directly attribute to my background.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
SoFlo Turf has the quality products clients need and at the prices they want. We’ve been serving the South Florida area for years and take pride in our reputation as the one of the area’s premium Turf & Artificial Grass suppliers and installers. We are excited about the growth of the company and where it will take us. While we are still considered a “small” company, we have the endless capabilities to become one of the largest in the industry.

Our team is the most crucial part of our business. My partner, Achot Putulyan, is one part of the business that makes us successful. Having a great partner that is just as committed as you are is essential to success. We can not only rely on him to show up in difficulties, but can also bank on him for awesome customer service.

Our project manager, Yonatan Garcia, has the expertise and experience to not only work with our employees, but also communicate well with customers to make sure their needs are met on every project.

Customer service is what sets us apart. We show up on time, we communicate, and always work to find solutions to issues. We never say “no”… if we think we can resolve the matter, we will. And this is what makes us a superior business in the industry.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I have spent 15 years in South Florida, so this question is easy. For dinner, you have to check out Lucky Shuck in Jupiter, Fl or Spruzzo in West Palm Beach. For drinks after the dinner, it is always 123 Datura or HMF in Palm Beach. If you are looking for activities during the day… taking the boat to Singer Island or Jupiter Sandbar is always a safe bet. Lunch during the day is either at ER Bradleys or tacos at El Camino.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost, I want to give an enormous shoutout to my amazing family.

To my late father, who may not be physically with us but guides me each day.

To my incredible mother, Thank you for your endless sacrifices and for teaching us the true meaning of perseverance.

To my brothers and sister.

And of course, I can’t forget the divine guidance and grace of God. The constant presence in my life, providing me with the wisdom to understand, the patience to endure, and the faith to persist.

Each one of you has played an instrumental role in shaping who I am today, and for that, I am profoundly grateful. You’ve provided me with a solid foundation.
