We had the good fortune of connecting with Nelbo and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nelbo, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I’ve been tattooing for 17 years and have worked at countless shops all across the US. It has always been my dream to have my own shop, a place that provides an amazing experience for our clients as well as our artists.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Fineprint Tattoos is my idea of what a Tattoo shop should be. Every client leaves here happy. We moved away from the grunge aesthetic associated with Tattooing. Our shop is special, it’s clean, well lit, smells good, and most importantly is a place where anyone can feel comfortable. Getting to this point has not been easy. I’ve been facing adversity my whole life. I’m a firm believer in getting back up when you get knocked down and that is what I’ve done my whole life and will continue to do. I want the world to know that when you come get a Tattoo from us that we take into account that this is a piece of art that will stay with you forever, and we treat it as such.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would have to recommend Jaguar Sun, Hillstone, and Eleventh St Pizza. To hangout I’d say Baby Jane, Mama Tried, Dante’s and Zeyzey.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My daughter Grace-Lynn. She’s my inspiration and my motivation. Everything that I do, I do for her.
