We had the good fortune of connecting with David Masters and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi David, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
The one habit that helped me succeed as an artist is to always create, regardless of the conditions in the art world. This means that I continue to create art even when I am not feeling inspired. I also continue to create art even when the market is down and the space is not selling. I believe that the most important thing for an artist is to keep creating, no matter what.

Here are some of the reasons why I believe that the constant need to continue to create art is important for artists:
It helps artists to stay connected to their creativity.
It helps artists to develop their skills and techniques.
It helps artists to express themselves and their unique perspectives.
It helps artists to connect with other artists and the art world.
It helps artists to make a living from their art.

I believe that all artists should strive to create art on a regular basis, even when it is difficult. Creating art is a journey, and there will be ups and downs along the way. But if you keep creating, you will eventually find your own unique voice and style. And who knows, you might even find success along the way.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art is unique because each piece tells a surreal and abstract story from my life. My art has always been surreal and based on my experiences, but my style has changed drastically over the years. I started out studying photography, which taught me the importance of composition and lighting. I experimented with different compositional concepts and lighting techniques to find what worked best for me. As my art evolved, I became more interested in telling stories through my work. I no longer want people to fully understand the meaning of my art; I want them to feel something when they see it, whether it’s beauty or emotion. This concept makes me stand out as a unique artist.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were to visit me in Fort Lauderdale, here are possible things I would want to do: Spend the day exploring Las Olas Boulevard.
Have coffee on an outdoor patio.
Browse the shops and galleries.
Have dinner under the lights with the amazing views of palm trees that line the street.
Visit a few bars on the street and chat with people.
Visit the Bonnet House Museum & Gardens.
Have a picnic at Hugh Taylor Birch State Park.
Visit the NSU Art Museum.
Take a boat tour.
I have not yet been to Flamingo Gardens, but I have always wanted to go.
Butterfly world is another place I think is cool to spend a few hours

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My father has always been a source of motivation and support for me, encouraging me to pursue my passion for art. He is always there to cheer me on, even when I am feeling discouraged. He has never doubted my ability to succeed, and his faith in me has given me the strength to keep going even when things are tough. I am so grateful for his support, and I know that I would not be where I am today without him.

My father may not always understand my work, but he always appreciates the effort I put into it. He knows that art is important to me, and he always supports me in pursuing my dreams. He is my biggest fan, and I am so lucky to have him in my life.
