We had the good fortune of connecting with Christina Erickson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christina, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Being an entrepreneur has always been a dream of mine from a very young age. I wanted to have a career that I could have my own flexible schedule as I am a parent and want to be able to have flexibility to be able to be involved in her activities and be there when she is needs. On a final note, in the Interior Design field it has been a dream to see that my design intent comes to life from the start of the conceptual phase to the finish result.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am the proud owner of a Residential Interior Design Studio, Christina Marie Interiors & Design. We offer luxury Interior Design services from one bedroom to full renovations. What sets me apart from the rest is I believe it is important to listen to your clients needs and desires from aesthetics to budget and provide not only a functional and tailored plan to meet your design needs and budget but have fun during the process. I take pride that I can connect with my clients on a professional and person level and be able to balance the two. In residential design we are togehter and on the phone multiple times a week or month and I am proud to say that many of my clients have grown to have a special place in my life even when the project has been completed and that is one of the best gifts!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Credit and recognition would have to go to my family and friends that encouraged me to take this leap of faith and help support me along the way. I would also give major credit to my college professors and the firms I have worked for in the past to have gained the knowledge I have today. On a business level credit and recognition would be to my accountant where I would not be here if it was not for him helping me on along the way. And final would be an amazing mentor and friend of mine Chelsey Neuhaus from C-Studio’s Interiors & Design.
