Meet Giselle Chusan | business

We had the good fortune of connecting with Giselle Chusan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Giselle, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The saying of “Do something you love and you’ll never work a day in your life” has always stood out to me. I have traveled to 24 countries and at a young age I was intrigued to make youtube videos but never had the courage to do it. Instead I picked up photography and would tell stories through the photos I would take. After college I signed up for tiktok and thought it was a cool platform to tell my stories about my travels and also give travel tips. That didn’t work in the beginning so I posted about food and it immediately popped off. When I realised I had the opportunity to turn my content creation into a personal brand and make a business out of it I did not hesitate. My work is what the average media consumer is looking for. Not many people go to the newspaper to see what new local spots have opened up. They go to social media or the internet. The same goes with travel, a lot of places you can explore gets shown to you through a screen which is why I wanted to be the person giving my community that information.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
A lot of work and love goes into the videos I create. Something that I love about my work is that my mom is behind the camera almost 99% of the time. This is a family effort to make my goals of traveling the world and showing you places to eat a reality. I try to keep my voice overs short and straight to the point because information is what many of us want. Not the fluff.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I am in Miami I love taking my friends to Grails because it is such a quique restaurant and sports bar. – In Fort Lauderdale I would take them to Tufting House so that we can make our own rug.
– West Palm Beach I would take them to Downtown WPB where I made so many memories growing up. There are so many Restaurants and bars you can check out.
