Meet Amandine Michel | Amandine Michel Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Amandine Michel and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Amandine, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
One habit that helped me to maintain my consistency is to avoid making excuses. for instance, I maintain a daily agenda because it helps me keep track of my duties. The process of editing is very time-consuming but quite helpful if it is practiced regularly. Persevere on picture enhancement will always bring out good results.

What should our readers know about your business?
I can sit and talk about myself and it will take years to understand where my passion for photography started. When I was younger I used to dislike the way I looked in pictures. It wasn’t because I wasn’t confident; on the contrary, I used to look like a deer in a headlight ( in shock or on the verge of crying). Because of my curiosity, In College, I decided to pursue my passion for photography by having my minor in Communication. Anything worth doing, it’s worth doing continuously and photography happened to be that one thing I can’t let go of. My passion for photography leads me to a place where I am trying to make a change in the industry. My first experience of shooting was at corporate events. I was nervous and excited at the same time. Because of that experience, I was exposed to learn how to manage large groups of people, products, and a fast-paced environment. One thing I have learned over the years is “It’s hard to create change in a place you don’t participate in.” It’s my gift to the world at captivating, creating what my pupil sees. Nonetheless, the most important factor is making a connection with my clients so that a brief memory of doing their photoshoot is worth it. I look at photography as my second muscle and it’s an automatic reflex. Whenever I look at an object, a place, an individual, an animal, or a building, I tend to look at the smallest details that make them different. That specific DNA print we are born with, It’s my duty as a photographer to find it and show the beauty in it. As a photographer, I have learned to assess whatever it’s within seconds and be quick at knowing how I want my clients to feel after their shoot. Throughout my journey as a photographer, I had the opportunity to meet several like-minded people. To be honest, our conversation is the same and different at the same time because we are painting a canvas that the world hasn’t seen yet. Being around photographers influences me to continue with my work because our goals are different but our mission is the same. Captivating memories is my motto. My story has just begun and my journey has just started flourishing I am excited to see where God is leading me and the memories I will be captivating along the way.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would start with food because Food is an international love language. I am a brunch individual so two of the best restaurants that I have visited for brunch were The Colony Hotel and the First Watch restaurants. They are very relaxed, their menus are exquisite and their customer service is excellent. As our day digresses, we will go to the Palm Beach outlet mall for a quick shopping follow-up with the Worth Avenue in Palm Beach. While we are in Palm Beach why not visit The Society of the Four Arts Plaza because it offers a dynamic lineup of cultural programming. Let’s talk about the Mounts Botanical Garden and the Morikami Museum and the Japanese Gardens because those places will demonstrate the beauty of multiple cultures in West Palm Beach. In the afternoon, we will go for a quick drive around Palm Beach island or Palm Beach for a quick swim in the ocean. In the evening, we will go to Ruth’s Chris Steak House for a nice dinner. Let’s talk about the weekend, I have several activities in place such as Drive Shack as a Topgolf, Craft Haus Pottery class, The Greenacres Bowl which is bowling, The Palm Beach Skate Zone ( YES in Florida we ice skate, and Foster’s Shak Karaoke. If the weather permits us, We will go to Jupiter Outdoor Center for a quick Canoe. To conclude the weekends, let’s go to downtown West Palm Beach because all it includes from a quick bite at the Spruzzo to a quick taco at the Bodega Taqueria Y Tequila, E.R. Bradley’s Saloon restaurants, and many more other places by the Ocean.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
In my story, I would like to dedicate this to my family, my church family, my peers, Widgy, and Casimir who allowed me to take their pictures when I started. Lastly, I would suggest anybody who wants to start a business read the book H3 Leadership (Humble, Hungry, Hustle) by Mark Burnett.
