We had the good fortune of connecting with Crystal Baez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Crystal, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Crystal Clear Photography LLC all started when I picked up my first camera for our honeymoon. I wanted to take epic fishing photos as my husband and I share this passion. It turned into non-stop photos of our first born- Adelina. I debated creating a business for a while, but then the support from family and friends gave me the push. It has grown so much over the past four years, and I am so proud of that.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
This to me is not just a brand that I created. I like to create long lasting bonds with my clients and capture more than just one milestone. I created a package called “A Crystal Clear Collection”. It includes, maternity, newborn, sitter and 1st year cake smash sessions. I want to be that photographer that you keep coming back to because of the relationship we created, because then the at ease feeling will just take over, making the session just that more comfortable. People have always described me as outgoing, and passionate. You will see this from the first inquiry all the way through the gallery delivery, and beyond. Big challenge was Covid. It was when I started the LLC. I was very unsure where it would go.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love a good coffee- Pura Vida or Seeds Cafe in Royal Palm. I can’t start the day without it. I would definitely take a drive to Palm Beach to see all the beautiful scenery and of course photo ops.
Sushi for lunch at Sushi Motto in Wellington.
I love working out at 9round kickboxing, get a good sweat in or take a Zumba class.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I work full time in the medical field in addition to running this business. I wouldn’t be able to manage without the support from my husband George. We have a 1 and 4 year old. I also believe my creative side comes from my grandfather. He worked with Charles Schultz as an artist and always encouraged me to draw and create. My grandparents raised me since I was two months old. He unfortunately passed when I was in high school from Pancreatic cancer, but I want his passion to live on.
