We had the good fortune of connecting with Shelton & Ke’ Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Shelton & Ke’, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
For me, it changed with age. As we progressed in our careers, our workloads became greater, and time management became a greater factor. Early on, we were aggressive in trying to reach where we wanted to be. As we aged, we realized the importance of time and how we utilize it. ~Shelton
In my opinion, our work-life balance did not necessarily change, but our focus did. Originally, we were both working 60+ hours per week for our respective companies. Now, we still work for other companies, but we are maximizing our efforts during the required 40-hour work week and pouring the additional time into our business.

Everything has to have the perfect weight, so balance is crucial to running a business and maintaining a marriage. The balance has to be communicated to make sure we are in agreement. We have to meet at the same vertex to make sure we are on the same page.
~Shelton
Having a proper work-life balance is very important. We usually have no issues making time for work, so to ensure that the balance is maintained, we intentionally make time for us. Each day, we make sure to eat dinner together. During this time, technology is not allowed, and our conversations do not revolve around work. We schedule date nights every other week, and we have weekly movie nights.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We have encountered many travel advisors who sell travel but have never navigated beyond their backyards. What sets us apart is that we are Travel Advisors who actually travel and create content while doing so. Our experiences help with questions and concerns that a potential client may have, and our footage provides a sneak peek into vacation possibilities. We are extremely proud when others watch our content and take our advice stating that we inspired them to travel. Knowing that they had an enjoyable experience is very exciting. We love traveling, especially cruising, and our enthusiasm is what prompted us to become Travel Advisors. Having business degrees and being business minded aided in the process, but it was not easy. Nights were spent studying various travel products and understanding multiple systems while still working full-time jobs and taking care of family. We set long-term and short-term goals, prayed often, and continuously motivated one another until our vision became reality. The process taught us that anything is possible with God, hard work, and perseverance. We are growing, and we want to encourage the world to travel.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The annual State Fair of Texas is a must during the fall season. It has various rides, activities, and the best food on this side of Heaven. Deep Ellum is one of the best spots for live music. There are many bars and venues throughout the area to experience music from a variety of genres. Northpark mall is a great shopping venue, and just about every restaurant in the Addison area will not disappoint.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
