We had the good fortune of connecting with Kinshawda Daniels and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kinshawda, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
Well I must say without a whole lot of focus and discipline I wouldn’t have accomplished nearly what I’ve been able to do.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I started my first business in 2016 which is a Home Care Agency. We provide non medical services in the homes of our clients. What prompted me to start the business, is I saw a need in my community that needed attention. I’m so proud that I took the leap of faith to start because it led me to starting my home care business consulting company. The beginning was hard for me not knowing certain aspects of business and having learn everything from scratch. One lesson I will share is never be afraid to ask for help, you will burn put quickly as a one-man or one-woman show. I encourage you to invest in a team to assist you in obtaining your goals.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
A day of fun for me would consist eating at a restaurant of our choice who has great food. I would like to add doing something spontaneous like a trip to the beach or going skating. We would definitely get us a specialty drink to relax our minds.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I definitely got to shout out my best friend of 30yrs Lashina Mack who recently passed away April 2023, for being that support I needed on my journey. She taught me things about business, marketing as it relates to business and branding. I can say without her knowledge of things I had no clue about I wouldn’t be where I am today. Lashina held me accountable in the sense that she kept on me about continuing to work on my dreams and goals. The first book I wrote “Setting the Stage” she was my editor so that gives you a idea of how influential she was to me. Becoming a successful entrepreneur takes hard work, dedication on our part but none of it could possible without the right support. In remembrance of a beautiful soul gone to soon I pay tribute with this shout out to the person who ignited my fire Lashina Clarissa Mack.
