We had the good fortune of connecting with Taylor Sappington and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Taylor, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The help I needed as a patient wasn’t available through the allopathic model to which I exhausted when I was at my sickest point.

I wanted to not only be seen but treated as a person with real pain.

Given the gross lack of understanding by most physicians of the complex nature as to the war taking place inside of me I was often tossed to the side with treatments that attempted to placate my pain vs. understanding it.

The oversight of emotions both past and present was a glaring and gaping hole in the care (if that is what we want to call it) I recevied as well.

I was relentless in seeking out the appropriate support to carry myself through this experience and vowed if I made it to the other side I would make it my mission to create a space where people could come to put their armor down.

To be seen, heard, and understood is healing.

And that’s what I did.

What should our readers know about your business?
Taylored Wellbeing is a virtual integrative wellness practice that meets with women from all over the world.

Most practices are here to sell you a sloution; we believe the best solution is reconnecitng you with yourself and understanding how tools such as testing and supplements can be applied in a way where we do not become reliant upon them.

I would say we specialize in teaching one how they are THEIR OWN solution while making it fun.

Our mission is to steer one towards true personal health empowerment while saying goodbye to feeling like a stranger in their own skin.

Taylored Wellbeing is here to help one reclaim their identity and shine as their authentic self—elevated, confident, and unapologetically self.

I have owned and operated this practice for 5 years; nothing about it has been easy and often most of the fulfilling things in life rarely are.

This practice is personal in all senses of the word.

It is an extension of everything I didn’t receive as a patient.

It is a tribute to the parts of me that didn’t make it through my own personal process.

Taylored wellbeing stands strongly on two legs of integrity and will ALWAYS put the person OVER the profit.

We are a mission driven practice with a LARGE desire to have a positive impact.

We are comitted to changing the conversation around what health and wellness are really about.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Upon arrival I would pick my friend up at the airport.

Assuming this was a early evening flight I would take them to dinner at one of my favorite local spots where everything is farm to table and the menu is unique (and allergen family)

This spot not only fills my belly but my soul as well as it supports a local family.

I would then bring my friend home and set them up in my cozy guest bedroom where there are beautiful hanging pots, salt lamps, and oh so cozy sheets.

I would then have a day of adventure planned, Saturday we would head to the springs of which are a beautiful and picturesque place to visit.

Where you meet the world of magic and mother nature all in one while soaking up sun and fresh air.

We would spend the day kayaking or paddle boarding and taking in all there is to see manatee’s included.

I would pack a lunch to have while out on our adventure.

After a day of sun and time spent in mother nature we would head back home stopping at green lemon in Hyde park for a delish dinner meal and finish off the night with a bit of sweet soul (coconut based soft serve)

Sunday morning would be spent exploring downtown st. pete where we would grab a tea and some brunch from paradeco before heading to pass a grille to relax for the day.

The evening would be spent in our cozy’s catching up and preparing for my friends flight the next day.

A perfect mix of food, friend time, adventure, and relaxation.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
How often do we dedicate our success to the personal perservence and belief we have and hold in regards to our own vision?

Were there people that helped and held me along the way?

Absolutely.

My husband (my biggest cheerleader)
My son (for all the moments I missed and will never get back, I am sorry and thank you)
My clients (for trusting me with the most tender parts of your person)
My team (To which this practice wouldn’t run without you)

And, to myself, for relentlessly believing in my own ability to make impactful change with keeping in step with my integrity.
