We had the good fortune of connecting with Yasmine Egozi M.A., CCC-SLP, CMHP and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Yasmine, what are you inspired by?
When I am tapping into spiritual books & teachings, I feel motivated in a grounded way. They help keep my mental state aligned with my vision so that I can continue to move forward regardless of what is happening around me or the state of affairs of the world.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Our company is focused on health and wellness utilizing alternative, holistic approaches, specifically that are plant- based. During the pandemic I developed our line of medicinal plant-based products after going through cervical cancer 18 years ago because I couldn’t find high quality natural pain, sleep, and anxiety products in the marketplace. At the moment we have a store in Miami Beach as well as online and we are unique in that we weave wellness consultations and education into the store experience, creating a customized plan for each individual.  As we set our sights on expansion, I can’t help but think about the fact that while this has been a very tall mountain, there is always a higher peak to conquer! What in life that is worthwhile is easy? This is a burgeoning industry that I have been involved in for over 10 years and truly feel we are just getting started! The landscape of the world is going to change with hemp and other plants and I am excited to be at the forefront of it. When I went through cancer, I learned that resiliency, grit, trust, connections, honesty and transparency have been key to overcoming challenges. These plants have been an integral aspect of my wellness and my mental health. I wake up excited every day to share this with anyone and everyone that will listen.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My favorite coffee shop is Imperial Moto or Three Palms if you prefer an authentic Cuban cafecito. Follow this with a nice day outdoors at my go-to places like Fairchild Tropical Garden, Blue Lagoon, Redland Koi Gardens, or a walk through Little Havana. For lunch or dinner, I would hit up Wabi Sabi, La Natural, Prima Pasta or Silverlake Bistro. For a night out, The Miami Beach Bandshell is a fave to catch live music or a show, and Zey Zey’s, which is a cool new outdoor venue.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
One person in particular that mentors, supports and inspires me every day is my mother through her relentless positivity, trust and faith in me and my vision.  I am lucky to have a village behind me for many years and various chapters of my story. These are my family, friends, and team who I could not do what I do without.
