We had the good fortune of connecting with Destiny Frazier and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Destiny, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business if to educate women on their skin and how to specifically take care of melanin skin tones. Black people are uneducated when it comes to taking care of their skin. Whether it’s dryness or hyperpigmentation we have to make sure we’re using the correct products.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My professional life I am a Licensed Esthetician who specializes in melanated skin. I went to school to learn basic facial services but I went to another school that taught one on one classes to get certified in Microdermabrasion, Dermaplaning, Hydrafacials, and Chemical peels. It was a pretty smooth and fun learning opportunity and I would say I’m thankful to have broaden my knowledge. Skincare is an everyday growing business and it’s always new services or knowledge to add to your business to expand. I want people to know that all skin is created equal and we all should want to take care of ourselves, our health, and our skin.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I don’t have any specific places to hangout being that I’m a foodie I love to find new vibes or restaurants to try with my friends. I love to find new experiences and have great food at the same time. I’ve grown out my clubbing days but I’ve found a liking to lounge vibes with good food and music.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate this shoutout to my son Dallas who is the reason behind the name of my business, his birthday is April 11 (4/11) giving birth to him made me want to honor him in a way for making me a mother and to create generational wealth for when he gets older and want to follow his dreams. Second person is my Dad, the driving force behind my entrepreneurship. He was the person that always push me to keep going and stay focused. Whatever I wanted for my suite he would make it happen. He was just always encouraging me to be a boss, something he always instilled in me. Sadly, I lost him this year October and I must say it has not been easy trying to motivate and keep pushing myself but he is the reason I feel like I have to keep going, to show him I will continue what I started in his honor.
