We had the good fortune of connecting with Polina Khokholkova and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Polina, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my business is the attention to detail. I consider myself a perfectionist when it comes to my art; I take extra time making sure both me and my client are satisfied with the outcome. When I used to work in a regular salon, I was always rushed by everyone; I was told I was too slow. Those words never made me “faster”, those words made me leave the salon and work for myself. I take pride in giving my clients extra care and my clients are happy to have someone who cares about their nails.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I consider myself a high quality nail & toe technician. I use high quality products, no MMA liquids, all tools are properly cleaned and sealed separately, others are disposed after each use. I am mostly proud of my freestyle nails, Russian manicures and of course, toe reconstruction as these skills took me years to perfect them. I take pride in taking care of my clients, paying close attention to their nails and details. My neat (Russian style) cuticle work and clean outcome is what sets me apart from a lot of salons.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family & friends deserve a lot of credit in my story; my parents bought me my first practice kit, my sister and friend let me practice on them even when I was just starting out. The father of my child made my dream come true and helped me get my first nail suite. Also, definitely my clients, without them I wouldn’t be where I’m at today!
