We had the good fortune of connecting with Ibrahim Nino and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ibrahim, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
Like many people in Miami, i have the blessing of coming from a country in Latin America, like Venezuela.

I consider that a blessing, regardless of your economic situation, you are never excempt from struggles and hard situations in countries like that

Unlike most people in my country, i was lucky. I never missed a meal, there was always food on my table, one small vacation a year, until things started to get harder. At the same time i was exposed to the reality on the streets. I was able to look at it and learn to live and walk through it.

So when i am presented with the opportunity of coming to a country where you can see everything as an advantage, even the “hard” stuff, it becomes a very fun journey of manifesting a big goal and work for it.

You can choose what path to take, in my case, I wanted to own my bussines, develop my personal brand, grow online bussinesses with it, and it has being almost 6 years of learning and going through that journey.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have been sharing fitness content for over 5 years and i always wanted to fill the void of the things that weren’t “SEXY” and people were not talking about them, and make them interesting.

That took me to create material on exercise technique mixed with comedy, since i found that is a ver y interesting way of learning things and get people to retain them.

The journey to do comedy, and act, was a long one. I was always very shy. i had panic of going on stage. Therefore i knew i needed to overcome that, and i did courses on acting, improv, stand up comedy and publick speaking.

All of that helped to develop characters, tell stories, and create contetn that not only delivers a message but also entertain people.

The main thing i overcame through this journey, was my own fear. So if there is anything i would like for you to know, is that, that thing that seems “impossible” to achieve now, is very real. It just takes a leap of faith and clear action

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
It really depends on the mood. But ideally i would take them for breakfast at a Venezuelan Place like Doggies, where we could have Arepas (Traditional food from my country).

From there, probably, enjoying the sun at the beach, ideally walk through Miami Beach and do some exercise around the area would be fun.

Then either coral gables or wynwood, have some walkable areas that can end up in a place at night if people are up for dancing. i rarely drink, so my plans are not drink-friendly

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Definitely through out my journey there has been many lessons.

People that i look up in terms of what they have built and the lessons that i get from seeing the journey from close and from afar.

Angel Bajana and the environment he has created as a gym owner with elev8tion in Miami, is a big example of customer service.

Erick brown, Personal trainer at DBC, who has taught me things that, to this day i apply with my clients, in all aspects of being a Personal Trainer.

Aldo Paredes, owner of Iron University, that has also taught me different perspectives on training and bussiness from watching itself.

So, i am very thankful for the great people doing great things here in Miami
