We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrew Bourguignon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andrew, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I am from the city of New Bedford, a small town in MA. My parents had me very young – both at the age of around 18, and this seriously caused a lot of stress on my parents to grow up fast. They weren’t mentally or physically prepared to take care of a child. This caused me to be alienated from my parents due to a stressful upbringing, and led me to spend a lot of my childhood with my Grandparents. I started working full time at 16 and felt independent very early on. I knew I wanted to get into business because I knew it would be a way to get freedom.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started using cameras in high school and took pictures of everything I could. This led me to grow a serious interest in using a camera regularly, and getting into the art of shooting. This is what ultimately led me to start using cameras to help other people make money.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them on a trip into the city of Boston. Ideally this person would be interested in viewing the small details of the city as much as I am. I would take them to the markets and through the backstreets of the city. We would then decide a nice place to eat, and spark a conversation with the servers to see if we could create advertisements for the company.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would say an organization called Keller Williams was really a factor into growing my client base, and providing me a vision of self entrepreneur people all supporting themselves instead of relying on an employer. There are individuals within the company I can elaborate on.
