We had the good fortune of connecting with Saida Gutierrez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Saida, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
Since I was very little I shared a lot with my dad in the kitchen, we cooked together every weekend, he always invented something new and I helped him since I was 5 years old, I remember. And so I grew up learning and trying new things in the kitchen. My friends and my environment, my family have always liked how I cook, and they say that everything suits me well. EVEN BOILED WATER is good they say. And I have always had the illusion of learning more and more and I like to please the palates of others. I had a son and he grew up loving my food. Unfortunately I lost him at the age of 22. Out of affection I called him DRUPI since I was little, and between my passion, which is cooking, and his memory, the name DRUPI’S Gourmet was born.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I have a Gourmet food business, Venezuelan, Italian, Spanish, Chinese, Arabic, various countries. Not only is it Venezuelan food but I don’t make variations of Gourmet meals. I am excited to reach people and make them fully satisfied with trying something very delicious, homemade, fresh and appetizing.
Over the years you gradually identify with your passion. I am a lawyer and I loved my profession, but as time went by I realized that I am passionate about cooking. And see the faces saying UMMM HOW DELICIOUS THIS IS.
As it is my passion, for me cooking is something very easy, it is like passing time.
I am starting my business, and I want to have my own restaurant.
There are many steps left to take, starting is the first step, and I am going for more. If others can do it, I will do it too.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Favorite places in the city Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show him the best time of his life. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary: let’s say it was a week-long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc. In your opinion, what are some of the most fun, interesting and exciting people, places or things to visit? ?

To visit right here in the City, there is the Train Station, Union Station is an Icon in Downtown Denver and the Clock Tower.
The Denver Zoo and Denver Botanic Garden are not to be missed. To connect with Nature there are Red Rocks Parks, Red Rocks Park
Red Rocks Park is the best known Denver Mountain Park. The Park’s best known feature is the Red Rocks Amphitheater which was designed by Burnham Hoyt, one of Denver’s best known architects. The Garden of the Gods public park in Colorado Springs is a park of sedimentary rocks with a lot of energy. Stroll through the hot springs of the Rocky Mountains and go to the City of Breckenridge and go up the mountains in gondolas and if you like skiing, take advantage.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My dad deserves a lot of credit, Neuro Gutierrez, since he has shared beautiful moments cooking together since he was a child. And I owe the name to My deceased son. Joanders Jose.
