We had the good fortune of connecting with Marina Yanay-Triner and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Marina, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
“You teach best what you most need to learn” – Richard Bach When my partner and I created SomaShare, we created it to share the lessons we have had to learn as individuals and as a couple, reflecting the traumas and tribulations we have gone through. This comforting thought it so wonderful when going through triggers and challenges in life, as it allows us to tune into something greater than ourselves and support us in our growth as humans, even in the hardest times.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am so proud of SomaShare because it was founded purely on heart, and the desire to serve others. This business is completely self-funded, because we so deeply believed in it. The first step in its creation was a session in which we wrote down our mission, vision and values, and this has been our north star in everything we do. Reaching out to other practitioners and asking them to join the SomaShare family and contribute their trauma-informed audio practices out of sheer belief in our app (without knowing if they will ever get compensated for it) – was so touching, because over 50+ practitioners immediately said yes! I truly believe our app, which now has already over 20K+ downloads in the app stores, is going to change human consciousness and contribute to a revolution in our world into more complex, emotionally mature ways of being. It contains hundreds of practices than anyone can do, from anywhere, to connect to their bodies, to process emotions, and to rewire their nervous systems.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’ve been to Miami one time and my most favorite memory that stands out and always will was visiting the Everglades national park. Experiencing the richness of wildness of nature as a simple human – amidst powerful animals – was exhilarating, enlivening and magical!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Tomer Yanay-Triner is my life and business partner. We have been together for the last 13 years, and the ups and downs of our partnership – both in life and in business – has been one of my greatest teachers. It has forced me to look at my childhood, the things I received too much and too little of, to find the resources within and outside myself to get my needs met and support myself, to find my greatest strength and power, to set boundaries, and to speak my truth. I am grateful to Tomer for being an amazing partner, teacher and friend.
