We had the good fortune of connecting with Clevimar Chacon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Clevimar, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I started my own business during the pandemic, I was unemployed, under a lot of pressure because I didn’t know what to do in that time for live, but then I stopped and thought like, wait I can do lashes, I can be a lash tech, I can study esthetics and facial specialist because I really like that, I can live from that, I can make money from that and stop working on things that I don’t even like, so basically the pandemic made me do it, made thought that the beauty world can really be for me

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is all about beauty and esthetics, I do lashes, facials, wax, laser hair removal and more. I’m proud that I was really brave to make a move and start my own business, not listening to the people that was telling me that it wasn’t a real job or a real business, it wasn’t easy at all you just need to be patient and keep going because no one is going to do it for you, no one besides you is going to put the love and the effort on something that you’re building, but you’re not going to build an empire in 1 day, that’s why I always keep in mind that all that we need is be patient, have discipline and be consistent, you’re going to have anything you want with those 3 things I want the world to know that I don’t have this because I only dreamed of, I have this because I also worked hard to make it happen, and I still working hard to keep going and keep growing to have all that I need for my business and one day be a big beauty company over the nation

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would totally take them to Versailles, I love Cuban food and I think that there they have the best, I would take them to Wynwood to take some nice pictures in the murals and all the beautiful art and then I’ll take them to hang out maybe South Beach or Eleven, I really like those places

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Without a doubt, I have to give a lot of credit in my growth to Rosi Contreras Beauty, from the beginning it was the company that opened all the doors for me in the world of beauty, Rosangel always had faith in me, it still does, I always have its unconditional support, I am currently still working there and I cannot believe everything I have achieved since I arrived, I think that I would not have achieved many things to this day if it were not for my work in that fabulous company
