Hi David, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I chose to pursue an artistic and creative career because creativity is the compass that guides my life. Whenever I go through a stretch without engaging in artistic expression, I feel a sense of disconnection and loss. Creativity is not just a career for me; it’s an intrinsic part of who I am. It brings purpose, fulfillment, and a unique way of expressing my thoughts and emotions. Through art, I find a profound connection to the world and a means to communicate ideas that may be difficult to express in other ways. It’s a journey of self-discovery and a constant source of inspiration that adds color and meaning to my life.

I am thrilled to share more about my journey as an artist. What sets me apart is the belief in the power of imagination and the ability to bring any concept to life through art. My artistic odyssey began at the tender age of three, and it has been a remarkable adventure ever since.

Earning a full scholarship to pursue a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts at the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design was a pivotal moment in my professional development. This educational opportunity became a cornerstone for honing my distinct style of surrealist art, a style that refuses to be confined to a single medium. I often explore the expressive possibilities of acrylic, oil, and graphite in my mixed media works.

My passion for music and hip-hop culture has profoundly influenced my art. This connection has propelled me into various exhibitions, including live art events, where the dynamic synergy between music and visual art comes alive. One project close to my heart is Concept Rhythm, where I apply design principles and art criticism to music, shedding light on the inherent connection between these two expressive forms.

Navigating the professional landscape hasn’t always been easy. Challenges have arisen, but overcoming them has been an essential part of my growth. I’ve learned the value of persistence, adaptability, and the courage to experiment with new ideas. The fusion of music and visual art has not only become a hallmark of my work but also a bridge to connect with audiences in real-time during live art events.

In essence, my brand and story are a testament to the boundless possibilities of creativity. I want the world to know that my art is a reflection of my passion, and each piece is an invitation to explore the intricate interplay between imagination, music, and visual expression. Through my journey, I aim to inspire others to embrace the limitless potential of their own creative pursuits.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
One of my absolute favorite places to visit is Excelsa Gardens Nursery. It’s a haven for me as a plant enthusiast, and the array of vibrant and unique plants never fails to inspire my art pieces. The tranquility of the nursery creates the perfect environment for me to find motivation and let my creativity flow.

When it comes to food, Sushi Jo in West Palm is a definite go-to for me. I absolutely love the Acai Bowl for its refreshing and nutritious qualities. Another favorite of mine is the shrimp fried rice, which never disappoints with its flavorful combination.

To round off the day, I enjoy spending time at Kapow Noodle Bar. The BBQ Duck & Ginger Fried Rice is a must-try for me, and pairing it with some hot sake adds the perfect touch to the experience. The ambiance at Kapow Noodle Bar complements the day, making it a delightful way to close out my excursions.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to the incredible people in my inner circle who have played a significant role in my journey. Tracy Guiteau, my fiancée, has been my constant support, providing love and encouragement every step of the way. Her belief in me has been a driving force in my success. I also want to acknowledge the invaluable contributions of Karsten Geiger and Charlie Ward. Their mentorship and support have been instrumental in shaping my path and helping me overcome challenges. Whether it’s advice, guidance, or simply being there for me, they have been key figures in my personal and professional growth.

I am truly grateful for the efforts of my inner circle – Tracy, Karsten, and Charlie. Their support and encouragement have been my greatest assets, and I owe a significant part of my success to their influence in my life.
