We had the good fortune of connecting with Alejandra Enriquez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alejandra, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
One of the most important lessons my career has taught me is that nothing comes easy. You have to work hard and keep your chin up no matter the obstacles you find on your path. Starting a business is not easy even though it may seem like it.

There are always risks and uncertainty of what is going to happen. Most people are afraid of starting their own business because of the uncertainty of what is going to come next, and they start asking themselves, “what if I risks what I have saved and lose everything?”, “what if I quit my current 9 to 5 job and then don’t make enough money to pay my bills?”, “what if?”

Those are the most common questions I hear all the time from people that are afraid of failure, afraid of losing what they don’t even have yet. What they don’t know is that if you don’t risk something you won’t get anything in return, you have to push your limits and go further your expectations to succeed, and that is how life works and what life is about.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I started working in my own business in 2020, but as everyone knows, creating a company right from the start takes time. I create all my digital content, website, Instagram posts, etc. On my first remodeling project I was able to find a general contractor team to work with. Now a days I keep working with them in different projects, and we were able to grow together as a team. We started making new projects from the base ground such a houses, duplex, and multy family buildings.

One of my biggest obstacles at that moment was that I was not feeling really inspired and I was not as confident as I’m now. It was really hard to make the decision of starting my own business. However, I was able to do it and that is something that I would never regret.

There is always fear and anxiety about what can happen next, however, if you never try you will never know.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My parents, they have always supported me on everything I wanted to do. Since I was born, they were always there for me, and they are still there for me no matter what. I have never met parents like the ones I have, and I will always be grateful for them.
