We had the good fortune of connecting with Fernando Terry and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Fernando, how does your business help the community?
As a representative of Move Right In Co., a South Florida-based Flat Fee brokerage dedicated to serving landlords and sellers of real estate, I’m proud to speak to our company’s social impact and how we contribute positively to the community and beyond.

At Move Right In Co., we fundamentally believe that access to affordable and efficient real estate services is a cornerstone of community development and personal financial empowerment. Our flat fee listing model is a direct response to the traditional percentage-based commission structures, which can often be a barrier to entry for many homeowners and landlords looking to sell or rent their properties. By offering a flat fee service, we democratize access to the real estate market, making it more inclusive and accessible for a broader segment of our community.

This approach not only helps individual property owners and landlords by maximizing their return on investment but also benefits the community by increasing the availability of rental and for-sale properties at more competitive rates. This can be especially impactful in areas where the real estate market is tight, providing more options for residents and potentially helping to stabilize market prices.

Furthermore, our commitment to leveraging technology for marketing and syndication throughout our partners ensures that properties listed with us receive wide visibility, connecting sellers and landlords with a larger pool of potential buyers and renters. This not only accelerates the transaction process but also fosters a more dynamic and efficient real estate market in Miami Dade and Broward counties.

On a larger scale, by streamlining the process of selling and renting properties and making it more cost-effective, we contribute to the economic vitality of the South Florida region. A robust real estate market stimulates local economies through job creation, increased consumer spending, and the generation of local taxes, which fund essential community services.

In conclusion, Move Right In Co.’s social impact is multifaceted. We empower property owners, contribute to the economic dynamism of South Florida, and support the communities we serve by making real estate transactions more accessible and affordable. Through our business model, we aim to not just be a successful company but a responsible corporate citizen, committed to making a positive difference in the world.

What should our readers know about your business?
Move Right In Co. is more than just a real estate company; we are pioneers in the digital transformation of the real estate journey, ensuring that our services are not only accessible but also a celebration of savings for every client we serve. What sets us apart is our unwavering commitment to revolutionizing the real estate experience, making it simpler, more transparent, and cost-effective for everyone involved—be it buyers, renters, landlords, or sellers.

We pride ourselves on offering Flat Fee MLS Marketing, a service that stands shoulder to shoulder with the traditional agent model, yet significantly reduces the financial burden on our clients. This approach allows us to return commission dollars back to our clients’ pockets, embodying our mission to make every real estate transaction both fair and financially empowering.

Getting to where we are today was not an easy journey. The real estate market is traditionally resistant to change, and introducing a model that drastically reduces costs for clients meant disrupting established norms. We faced skepticism and resistance from traditionalists within the industry. However, our dedication to our mission and our belief in the value of our services propelled us forward. We overcame these challenges by consistently demonstrating the effectiveness of our model, the quality of our service, and the undeniable benefits to our clients.

Throughout this journey, we’ve learned invaluable lessons about perseverance, the importance of transparency, and the power of innovation. One key takeaway is that genuinely putting clients’ interests first not only fosters trust but also drives the kind of change we envision for the real estate industry. Another lesson is that technology, when used wisely, can be a powerful tool to democratize access to services and information, making the real estate process more equitable for all.

What I want the world to know about Move Right In Co. is that we are here to lead a movement towards a more just and efficient real estate market. Our vision goes beyond just buying and selling properties; it’s about creating a world where everyone has the opportunity to find their dream home or investment without undue financial burden. We’re passionate about what we do, and we’re excited about the future we’re building for our clients and the industry at large.

Our brand’s story is one of innovation, resilience, and unwavering dedication to our mission. We invite everyone—whether you’re looking to buy, sell, rent, or lease—to join us on this journey. With Move Right In Co., you’re not just making a transaction; you’re becoming part of a movement that values your investment and your future.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Absolutely, I’m thrilled to share the influences and inspirations that have played a significant role in my journey, especially in relation to the success of Move Right In Co. The path to where I am today has indeed been shaped by a myriad of factors, including the unwavering support of my family, the wisdom distilled from various thought leaders and authors, and my personal endeavors outside of the professional sphere.

First and foremost, I must dedicate a heartfelt shoutout to my wife and children. Their endless support, patience, and belief in me have been the bedrock of my motivation. They’ve been my sounding board, my cheerleaders, and my refuge. Balancing a startup’s demands with family life is no small feat, and their understanding and encouragement have been invaluable.

In terms of professional and personal development, I’ve drawn immense inspiration from podcasts like those by Jocko Willink and Bedros Keulian. Jocko’s emphasis on discipline, leadership, and ownership has been transformative, pushing me to take full responsibility for my actions and the company’s direction. Bedros Keulian’s insights into entrepreneurship, particularly in the fitness industry, have been incredibly relatable and helpful in navigating the challenges of building and scaling a business.

Practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as a purple belt has also been crucial in shaping my approach to business and life. BJJ has taught me about resilience, strategy, and the importance of being humble and open to learning. These lessons have directly translated into how I lead my team and make strategic decisions for the company.

On the literary front, books like “The 48 Laws of Power” by Robert Greene, “The Way of the Man” by Jack Donovan, “Outwitting the Devil” by Napoleon Hill, and “The Power of Value Selling” have been instrumental in my personal and professional development. Each book, in its own way, has offered profound insights into human psychology, strategy, personal integrity, and the art of negotiation and selling. These principles have been foundational in how I’ve structured the business model for Move Right In Co., focusing on transparency, value, and empowerment.

Lastly, I want to acknowledge the broader entrepreneurial community, both in South Florida and globally, for their inspiration and camaraderie. The shared experiences, challenges, and triumphs have been a constant source of motivation and learning.

In essence, my journey is a mosaic of influences from my family, the wisdom of thought leaders, the discipline of martial arts, and the strategic insights from literature, all underpinned by a community that continually inspires growth and resilience. Each of these elements deserves recognition for their role in shaping the ethos and success of Move Right In Co.
