We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexis Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexis, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
One aspect of the credit industry that outsiders might be unaware of is the intricate process of credit scoring and its impact on individuals’ financial lives. While many people are familiar with the concept of credit scores, they may not fully understand how they are calculated and the extent to which they influence various aspects of personal finance.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started out dispatching trucks in 2021, I’ve always had a love for trucks. I would go over the road with one of my friends and I loved it. Once I started dispatching trucks one of my drivers came to me one day we were just having general conversation. He said I want another truck but I know my credit not in the best predicament. I said “Let me help you”. I repaired his credit and he was able to purchase two more trucks and establish some business credit. This journey wasn’t easy. I had to take a lot of training and learn new skills and learn more marketing strategies to help me become better at what I do. I have learned never go down on your prices to help someone because they claim they don’t have it or don’t want to pay full price. I have learned that your biggest supporters are strangers. At first I was bothered by it. My grandmother use to tell me “Brianna (she called me by my middle name) everyone is not gonna be happy for you. They not mad at what you’re doing they’re mad that you are doing it.” I’ve lived by that every since she has told me that. A. Marie Logistics Dispatching and A. Marie Financial Services will always strive to go above and beyond to make sure our clients are satisfied and happy!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have to give all praises to the most high God has brought me a long way. Outside of that I would have to thank my parents, my daughter Kylia and my favorite cousin Zontayvia. They have been my biggest cheerleader through everything. I have used my parents as my guinea pigs when I first started repairing credit. My grandmother Alma Marie may her soul continue to rest her words of encouragement and always reassuring me I can do anything I set my mind to.
