Meet Barbara Andrade | Baby Shopper

We had the good fortune of connecting with Barbara Andrade and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Barbara, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Miami Baby Concierge is a full baby shopping experience for expectant moms. My first step was recognizing a gap in the market and the specific need of having a complete service for moms, specially those who come from Brazil – which is a very frequent trip for Brazilians: they love coming to Miami to shop for their babies.
Expectant moms, particularly those visiting from Brazil, often face challenges when shopping for their babies in Miami. These moms love coming to Miami for the vast shopping options and high-quality baby products, but they lack a comprehensive, stress-free shopping experience tailored to their specific needs. Recognizing this gap was my first step.
As a mom myself, I have always been passionate about helping other moms. There’s something incredibly rewarding about being part of such a special time in a family’s life. Combining this passion with my knowledge of being a personal shopper, I knew I could offer a service that would make a real difference.
To stand out and provide a safe, reliable shopping program, I decided to unite with other professionals in the medical field, such as pediatricians, dermatologists, and lactation consultants. This collaboration ensures that the products we recommend are safe and beneficial for both moms and their babies. It also adds a layer of credibility and trust to our service, making it a comprehensive solution for expectant mothers.
Starting Miami Baby Concierge was challenging, but I was motivated by the potential to make a wonderful experience for the moms in the most important part of their lives: their pregnancy.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
There are a lot of things about Miami Baby that are different from other baby shoppers. We are commited to providing customers with safe and doctor reccomended products as well as special coupon codes that make our shopping experience even more interesting. Our customers regularly get all their investment back in discounts in stores.
We also provide customers with extra optional on site experiences such as photoshoots and even ultrasound service – this one is awesome: customers can experience seeing their babies at the comfort of their hotels and get a realistic shot of their babies with AI.
Apart from the services, I am mostly proud of the whole experience our program has become. I am extremely passionate about making a change and helping other women in the most important phase of their lives and guiding them towards motherhood with confidence.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
This is a great question for me! We also provide moms with a guide itinerary during their trips to Miami which include Miami Beach, Brickell, Aventura Mall, Coral Gables and Palm Beach. Those itineraries are tailored according to the family`s need and have all addresses they can shop for their babies and what to buy in each location.
This guide includes restaurants and activities all over Miami. We also provide concierge services.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Motherhood transformed my life in so many ways.
I got pregnant during the Covid and despite the loneliness, I was eager to learn everything I could to provide my daughter with the best care. I immersed myself in studying everything about breastfeeding, starting solids, natural birth, and pregnancy itself.
After my daughter Lara was born, she became the inspiration to create my own business. My expertise and my passion for motherhood was turned into something really special.
