We had the good fortune of connecting with Polina Wittmann and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Polina, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I was born in Russia and grew up in Germany, which allowed me to become fluent in both languages. My upbringing in Germany instilled in me a strong work ethic and a passion for travel, inspired by the German love for exploring and learning about the world. I was fortunate to receive a scholarship to Park University in Parkville, Missouri, where I studied criminal justice and later earned an MBA in international studies. After spending 16 years in Kansas City, where I discovered my passion for real estate, I decided to move to Florida for its warmer climate and to better utilize my multicultural background and language skills in a diverse environment. The Miami area was a natural choice, and I soon fell in love with Fort Lauderdale, where I have been dedicated to serving my clients ever since.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
As a real estate advisor at Engel & Völkers, a prestigious German luxury real estate firm in Fort Lauderdale, I am passionate about connecting with the German community seeking vacation properties. What sets our office apart is our dedicated marketing manager, who ensures our listings receive round-the-clock attention and promotion. I pride myself on providing white glove treatment to clients in all price ranges, dedicating my full time and effort to every single transaction to ensure a seamless and exceptional experience for everyone I serve.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
A week in Fort Lauderdale offers a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. Start with a visit to Hugh Taylor Birch Park, a tropical oasis by the beach, ideal for walking, enjoying a BBQ, and watching boats go by. Take a ride on the water taxi to explore stunning million-dollar mansions while sipping a cold drink. Stroll along Las Olas Boulevard, where you can browse charming boutiques and enjoy a riverside lunch. For some retail therapy, head to Sawgrass Mills Outlet Mall in Sunrise. Treat yourself to a resort daypass at the Conrad Hotel or another high-end Fort Lauderdale Beach hotel, and spend a luxurious day by the beach and pool.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The two books that shaped my success in business are “The Big Leap” by Gay Hendricks and “The Mastery of Love” by Don Miguel Ruiz. “The Big Leap” taught me to take risks without attaching myself to the outcome too much and just be grateful for what is. “The Mastery of Love” helped me to always lead with love and not take adversity personal.
