Hi Alessandra, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factors behind the success of 305 Wines are hard work, deep knowledge, and passion for the wine industry. We have built a reputation as a trusted wine shop and wine store in Pinecrest and South Miami by offering a curated selection of wines and Japanese sake. Our commitment to education, personalized service, and community engagement also play crucial roles in our success.

What should our readers know about your business?
It was not easy. When I moved to Miami in 2016, I did not know anyone in the city. I founded Florida Wine Academy and we grew from there. Patience is the main lesson I’ve learned. Overcoming challenges required perseverance and building connections from scratch. We continue to strive to be the best at what we do, offering a top-tier wine shop experience in Miami.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting, I’d start by introducing them to three amazing Miami influencers: Sarah McCartan, Jacqueline Coleman, and Alexa Ferro. For dining, we’d go to Bellini in Coconut Grove for a glass of champagne with a stunning view and Fiola in Coral Gables for exquisite cuisine. We’d explore Miami’s diverse range of restaurants, from Portuguese to Lebanese, Italian, and Spanish. We’d visit vibrant neighborhoods, enjoy the beaches, and experience the rich cultural scene that makes Miami so exciting.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my husband and partner, Guilherme “William” de Macedo. His support, expertise, and dedication have been instrumental in the success of 305 Wines. Together, we have built a business that we are incredibly proud of.
