Meet Latasha Handsborough | Health and Wellness Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Latasha Handsborough and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Latasha, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
Eight years ago I was a single mom of three and was always working and providing for my children with little to no time to take care of myself. As I looked in the mirror daily, I would see so many things I wanted to change related to my health and weight. One day I got off from work and went and got a gym membership, changed my clothes and started working out. I had no clue on what I was doing, I would look at others and try to do what they were doing and ask questions, which eventually lead to me becoming good at my workouts and seeing results. I was starting to see muscles and abs in places I’d never thought imaginable, which became an addiction for me. As time went on I remained dedicated and continued to educated myself and eventually others started noticing my results and they too started asking questions and wanted help, especially women with children. This inspired me to start my own business LCL, (Latasha Conscious Lifestyle) a health and wellness business dedicated to women, men & children 12yrs and older, who want to lose weight and become active but don’t know where to start. LCL has weight products, health care kits and exercises to for anyone looking to invest in their self at www.lclfit.com.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
To be honest my business has it’s good months and slow months however with me knowing how far I have came and all the love and dedication I have put into it is what keeps me going strong. I must admit it can be a bit much at times but I know with God all things are possible. I continue to strive because every once in a while I always meet someone who needs inspiring and guidance when it comes to their health and fitness journey that puts me in remembrance of why I started my business in the first place.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If some was visiting and I had to show them all of my favorite spots I would take them to the TIKI market in Riviera Beach every Saturday during season and let them shop and eat with the locals. Some other spots would be Riggins Crab House, JB’s on the Beach, Fargates Seafood Restaurant, Trindy Gourmet, and Sub Culture for some amazing coconut cake and coffee.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to shout out my family, friends, strangers and my now husband for all their love, help and support. I hear a lot of people complaining about their family and friends not supporting their business and realize how blessed I am to have support coming from everywhere including family and friends. I want to also thank Trinnette Morris, the owner of Trindy Gourmet, Shandra Stringer with Blessed Blvd, Jamie Clarke, Latoya Benton with Lashes by Latoya, Tanasha Benton with Sista Luv, Adriel Handsborough my husband, and to so many more who have blessed and inspired me.
