Hi Marc, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When I left government service in 2008, I transitioned into working on due diligence projects for my former bosses, who were retired CIA chiefs of stations now in consulting. They imparted their expertise in the commercial sector, and as I honed my skills, I began to network extensively in Miami. Eventually, lawyers started approaching me for information, which led to the realization that I had become a private investigator. My background with the CIA, combined with my entrepreneurial spirit, made this a perfect niche for me.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At Crossroads Investigations, we pride ourselves on delivering top-notch investigative services tailored to our clients’ unique needs. My friends know that I have some favorite spots that I always love to share. For an unforgettable week-long trip, I’d start with the Carousel Club at Gulfstream Park, where we can enjoy a fun outdoor environment and have a drink while watching the horses race. A must-visit for any bourbon lover is Bourbon Steak at Turnberry, which offers an exceptional selection of bourbon and a fantastic atmosphere. I’d also take my guests to The Surf Club, a place that embodies the essence of Florida.

Exploring Miami wouldn’t be complete without visiting Wynwood and Brickell. Wynwood’s vibrant street art and trendy spots make it a cultural hub, while Brickell offers a sophisticated urban experience with its chic bars and restaurants.
