Meet Natalie Franklin | Store owner & Speaker

We had the good fortune of connecting with Natalie Franklin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Natalie, as a parent, what do you feel is the most meaningful thing you’ve done for them?
As a parent & entrepreneur, I’d say what I’ve done to impact my children was sacrificing what I’m accustomed to in order to raise them and to spend as much time with them as I possibly could.

When I had my first child in 2018, my husband and I decided that I would not go back to work so I could raise him to the best of my ability with no true distractions. Between 2018 and 2023, I’ve had 2 more children totaling 3 kids which means, I spent a total of 6 years focusing on my children.

As an entrepreneur you can imagine that this was a little tough for me. Before having my babies, my business was my baby but I truly felt like this is what I was led to do despite what my feelings were. I had to understand that in life, sacrifices are temporary and typically worth it in the end.

I’m thankful & truly blessed that I even had the ability to do this. Nurturing my children their first few years of life full time is an opportunity that I’ll never get again so saying that I’m grateful would be an understatement.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

I own an online store called Your Faithful Treasure. My store was created to encourage and uplift people in their day to day lives. Every item is designed with an uplifting message for our customers and their loved ones.

I created this store after having my 3rd child. Prior to starting the store, God led my to do nothing but focus on my kids. In the prior years, though I didn’t technically work, I’d constantly jot down business ideas that I’d get. But this particular year, I did absolutely nothing but focus on my children.

It was tough to sit in silence but that silence is what strengthened me. It helped me trust that I am not in control. My ideas are not better than Gods. But as long as kept running full speed ahead, I’d never see that.

Once I felt led and at peace to embark on the journey of starting my store. This was a challenging journey that I wasn’t prepared for . Every intricate detail took lots of time & effort to create. In addition, I had to let go of a few employees for different reasons which made the journey even tougher.

I believe that if it weren’t for my silent seasons it would’ve been difficult to overcome the obstacles that I encountered. I’m thankful.
