We had the good fortune of connecting with Caitlin McCall and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Caitlin, do you disagree with some advice that is more or less universally accepted?
That you have to follow a specific timeline to be successful. I think with social media, it’s easy to look at everyone you’ve ever met in life’s big moments and think they’re ahead or behind you and what that means about your own life. For me personally, if I had gotten that corporate job I thought I wanted right out of college, I would’ve never actualized and started my own business and this is so much more meaningful to me! Your timeline is your own, so it’s better to just focus on yourself and working to continuously better yourself.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Born and raised in the heart of Texas, Amarillo, I always felt the pull of a bigger world. So, at seventeen, I ditched high school and headed to Texas State University. Four years later, I emerged with a Bachelor’s in Advertising and Communication Studies, eager to conquer the workforce. But the recession had other plans. After a few years of magazine gigs and dead ends, I decided to trade stability for adventure.

I packed my bags and hit the road, exploring Austin, Houston, Sydney, Byron Bay, Auckland, Key West, St. Pete, Fort Lauderdale, and finally settling in West Palm Beach with my husband. Along the way, I juggled dive instructing, marketing jobs, and service industry gigs. These experiences forged my resilience and agility, laying the groundwork for my future venture.

In Key West, while studying Marine Environmental Technology, I started sharing my adventures on Instagram. My account quickly gained traction, leading to a podcast, online course, and brand deals in the scuba and eco-conscious industries. I worked with major players like PADI, SDI, and Scuba Diving Magazine, earning the prestigious Alumna of the Year award at Florida Keys College.

But I yearned for a bigger impact and a higher income. Leveraging my social media expertise, I transitioned into freelancing. My passion for organic social media fueled my success, and I soon found myself scaling my freelance gig into a thriving agency. I’ve not only helped countless clients but also mentored young professionals, empowering them to reach their career goals. Today, I’m running my agency and enjoying posting about my life on social media as my own personal brand. Follow me here: https://www.instagram.com/itscaitlinmccall

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I live in West Palm Beach, Florida and I have to say that Palm Beach county is the most beautiful and best place I’ve ever lived! I’d definitely take (and have taken!) a friend to:

• Worth Avenue on Palm Beach – Stop at the Clock Tower for a photo at the beach, The Colony hotel for an iced coffee, around all of the winding shops and then Piccolo Gelato to finish off the stroll.
• Rosemary Square in West Palm Beach – Stroll the shops and get some great PB souveneers, then El Camino for taco and spicy margs before heading down to the giant lit up tree in the middle for photos and an ice cream at the truck parked outside.
• Jupiter to walk around Love Street and eat on the water with the lighthouse in the background, then head to Juno Beach (the best beach in South Florida (don’t fight me on this!) to watch the sunset!
• If possible, depending on time of year, I’d also love to take a friend to the Polo Center in Wellington or to the PGA tournament in Palm Beach Gardens. Both amazing experiences here!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
This is going to sound a little bit cliché… but The Junior League has played a huge part in my success and self-worth. I first joined in Fort Lauderdale and then transferred up here to the Palm Beach League. It really is true that you’re the sum of the people you surround yourself with. Since up-leveling my network through the League, I’ve quadrupled my income! Aside from that, the volunteer work and relationships I’ve built have made a huge impact in my life and happiness. Giving back to others gives my life so much more meaning as well, and helps me with gratefulness. Can’t say enough good things about joining this organization.

Aside from the Junior League, my family. My now husband, Mitch, entered my life and immediately saw my potential and encouraged me to do more. He’s really behind a lot of my business moves and contributes with ideas, support, and so much more. Having a good partner has been vital to my success. I couldn’t do any of it without him. My parents are also very close to me and are entrepreneurs so being able to call them and bounce ideas around and get advice has been HUGE for me. I’m so grateful to them.
